1. My First Day at a New College
My first day of College was an extreme success. I cannot alienate this day from my life. It is long time
since I got myself admitted into a famous college named BAF Shaheen College Tejgaon Dhaka. On the
first day of College, I was nervous about coming to College. One reason I was nervous about coming,
because I was coming to a new environment. I was also coming to a place where I did not know anyone. I
was also nervous because I would have to make some changes in myself and in my habits for me to be
successful. I had fears of getting to know new people. My other fear was trying to fit in with the others
college students and adjust to college life. On July 1st
2013 I went to the college for the first time. I was so
excited that I could not sleep the previous night but I was also nervous about this day. I arrived on campus
and it felt like my heart was beating in my stomach. Few students were also in the campus then. They
appeared to me to be new comers also. I went to the notice board and took down the class routine for the
first year classes. First I went to my first class which was Management. I took my seat in the first bench.
No one was familiar with me in the class. However, our Management teacher Ziaur Rahman entered the
class as well as he is also our Class Teacher. We all stood up. He asked us to sit down. Then the learned
teacher started his lecture for us. It was an introductory class. He introduced himself to us. We were also
asked to tell our names and result of the SSC examination. He gave us the method of learning as well as
disciplinary instructions of the college. We were also suggested to use our time properly. However, when
the bell rang the class was over and we had an interval for 50 minutes. Few of my classmates approached
me. We introduced ourselves and we started to move around the college campus. Our college had vast
premises. We went to our college canteen, college library and many other places. The college campus was
very pleasing. Anyway we returned to our class. After that it was our English class. Our English teacher
came. She was very learned. She was lean and thin. She started her lecture in lucid and simple English. It
was also an introductory class. We got much advice from her. She was really unique for her personality.
Thus, we attend five classes on my first day at college; I got the opportunity to be introduced with new
method of learning, new environment, new teachers and many other classmates. My first day at college
was very exciting as well as interesting. I learned many things and became familiar with the new life. I
thought again and again that I became a college student; I was no more a schoolboy. However, sometimes
the first day at college peeps into my sub-conscious mind. I consider this day as my most memorable day.

2. An Embarrassing Experience
The small embarrassing moments in life that make us laugh and cry. I have done countless embarrassing
things in my life and when I look back I laugh about it, because most of them are extremely foolish acts
by me that back fired on me. Speaking of embarrassing singing moments, when I was about 12 there was
a time when I thought I was alone and I was singing In The End from Linkin Park song in the shower.
When I walked out of the bathroom, my brother and his wife were playing Dice in the room and she said
"thanks, now I know all the lyrics to In The End song". She wasn't mean about it but it was still really
embarrassing. There was also a time in class 11 English class when we had to write an Extempore Speech,
so I wrote a piece of crap and then the teacher told us we would have to present it to the class. So I had
this confusing speech to present, in English, and we weren't allowed to have any notes in front of us, and I
get horribly nervous in presentations to begin with... and I just froze multiple times and made no sense
whatsoever. And that was actually on the second attempt at presenting. I was supposed to do it the day
before, but I was so scared I ended up getting sick and crying. I'm pretty sure everyone in the class
thought I was faking it just to get out of the presentation. At that moment it was extremely embarrassing
for me but now we have a laugh about it. These small moments in our life makes it interesting.
3. A Frightening Experience
A frightening experience is a common phenomenon in one’s life. Once I was also face such a frightening
situation when I was about 13 years old. It was a thundery night and it was raining cats and dogs. I was
alone at home watching T.V because my parents were out. I was on the comfortable sofa watching
television. Suddenly I heard an unusual noise. A shiver ran down my spine but to calm myself down I
thought it was the wind howling. As time passed by I kept hearing the same noise and I was scared. Then
I saw the garden's door opening but no one was pushing it. I was beginning to think there was a ghost in
my house. After a while the lights went off and I began to cry with terror. Later something caught my eye.
It was a shadow. The shadow was as black as ebony and it began to waver. I had the feeling that it was a
ghost but I realized that it was the coat hanging on the cloak hanger. What a relief! I couldn't wait to tell
my parents about what happened. This was the worst night ever. When my parents went home I told them
about what happened to me. I am never going to stay at home alone! Never! This was a memorable
frightening incident that happened in my life. I still remember it. Whenever I remember it, I feel amused
and laugh sub consciously.

4. A Memorable Journey
A journey from one place to another sometime may be a source of pleasure. Sometimes it may be the
cause of sufferings. Life becomes dull and baren for want of recreation. We should manage time to get
relief from routine bound life and monotonous work. A journey by train can serve this purpose to some
extent and this is one of my memorable journeys. Journey is always pleasure to me. Whenever I go on a
journey, my heart leaps up with joy. When I was read in class 9 on that time we some of students of our
class, were suggested to go out for and educational tour. In the winter vacation we got sufficient time. So,
we decided to go to Chittagong. We took also the decision to go there by train as it was safer and more
comfortable. Along with other students we reached Kamalapur station in the morning. Already one of our
teachers collected some tickets in the first class compartment at 7 am. We got into our compartment.
Really it was very comfortable. We took our seats face to face. Each of us also carried a small travel bag.
At 7:30 am the train within many passengers started off slowly indeed. But within a few minutes it began
to run very speedily. It began to run on and on. In the compartment all we were talking about our personal
subjects. But sometimes I managed to look outside through the window. It was bewildered with the sights
on the either sides of the rail path. Sometimes our train passed through the vast fields. The farmers were
seen working in their corn field. Our train halted at Fenny station for ten minutes. Some of us got down
from our compartment and looked around to get some meal as we were hungry. But we found a small stall
and bought some muri and chanachur. I cannot forget how tasty they were. We ate together sitting in the
running train. Our teacher along with us. Sometimes he was giving briefing about the places that were left
behind. When it was 5:30, we were very near to Chittagong city. The hilly areas appeared to me much
enchanting. Some parts of it were covered by small plants. Some areas of it were a little higher than
others. Our train touched at Chittagong train station. We got down from the compartment one by one. I
looked around the station. It was crowded. Hundreds of passengers were rushing towards the station. Our
teacher hired a taxi. We got it and went to our destination. Our journey by train, infact, was very pleasing
and comfortable. On the way to Chittagong I kept my eyes open to see the sights and unchained my heart
to contain them. My journey was up to my satisfaction. Indeed it was one of the most memorable journeys
in my life.

5. My First Visit to a Country
I have had a great weekend In the year 2004 after the final term examination, we decided to visit Jaipur
and Ajmer of India. It is my first visit to a country. From Bangladesh we started our journey on 17
December by Greenline bus. On that day we reached Kolkata. We stayed there in a hotel named Taj
Bengal. On 18 December we went outside to visit the important places of Kolkata and there we visited the
Indian Museum, Birla Planetarium, Victoria Memorial, Fort William, Aqua Park, Science City, National
Library and Underground Railway. On 18 December from Kolkata we started our journey at midnight by
Amritsar Express towards Ajmer. Ajmer is one of the holiest cities for the Muslims. On 20 December
morning, we reached Ajmer. In the evening we visited the Ana Sager, Akbar’s Palace, and Nasian Jane
Temple etc. The 21 December was the Eid-ul-Fitr. Me and my father performed Eid prayer at Ajmer and
after Eid Prayer we performed special namaz in the Dargah of Khawaza Muinuddin Chisti (R). We again
started our Journey on the same day towards Jaipur by bus. Jaipur is known as the Pink City of the world.
It was founded by Sawai Jai Singh II in 1727. Today it has become the most popular tourist point in
Rajasthan. We reached there at night on the same day. On 22 December we started our journey by a
tourist bus to enjoy the historical place of Jaipur. Our guide narrated shortly the importance of those
places. The places we visited were Chandra Mahal, Diwan-I-Khas, Mubarak Mahal etc. Then we visited
Mawa Mahal, which was built in 1799 by the poet king Maharaja Pratab Singh. After this, we visited Jal
Mahal, Ram Niwas Bagh, Ishwar Lat, Sovind Dergi, and Temple. At last we visited Jantar Mantar
(Observatory). It was built in the 18 century by Maharaja Sawal Zai Singh, the last classical astronomer in
India. In the way of our return journey to the hotel, our bus stopped at the famous textile and costume
museum’s gate. We purchased a traditional Jaipuri dress for me and some gifts for my relatives and
friends. My father also purchased a jacket made of the leather of camel. We returned to the hotel at 10:00
pm. After taking rest for one day, we started our journey for Bangladesh via Kolkata.

6. The Breakup of a Friendship
Friendship for most people is a combination of affection, loyalty, love, respect, and trust. The general
traits of a friendship include similar interests, mutual respect and an attachment to each other, and in order
to experience friendship, we need to have true friends. The emotional safety provided by friendship means
not having to weigh our thoughts and measure words. True friendship is when someone knows us better
than ourselves and takes a position in our best interests in a crisis. Friendship goes beyond just sharing
time together, and it is long lasting. Friendship can mean different things to different people. For some
people it is simply the trust that someone will not hurt us. For others it might be unconditional love or just
normal companionship. Whatever our own definition is, friendship is often considered as a mutual and
agreeable relationship between two individuals, and that’s a good thing, as it has been said that a person
who finds a true friend has found a priceless treasure. “If you haven't learned the meaning of friendship,
you really haven't learned anything.”- Muhammad Ali . “A friend is a single soul dwelling in two bodies."
– Aristotle. How do you know that you friendship is real and not a lie? You have to be prepared for all.
Maybe he or she pretends to be your friend because there is something that he or she need there is an
interest. Maybe you know him/her lots of years but you can´t give any kind of confidence. But if you
think that you’re supposed friend is someone that you can´t trust or someone that tries to guide you to the
wrong way, please break any relationship, that is not good for you. So think who kind of people turns
around you and you will know who you are. One of my friend Nahyan had a friend that was very good.
He told him all kinds of secrets and all what best friends do. They support each other a lot after all they
are friends from their childhood. He supposed to be a very good friend that is what Nahyan thought. But
there were some people think that Nahyan was not a good person and Nahyan felt very sad and confused.
He didn’t even know why people didn’t like him and thought about him in a wrong way. After that
Nahyan’s best friend also misunderstand him and their friendship breaks. Friendship is rarely one-sided
though, as it takes two individuals to negotiate the boundaries in a relationship and a friendship will not
survive very long if only one person is making the effort to sustain the relationship without any help or
recognition from other person. Because it takes both positive and negative experiences to define a
personality, it is essential to build our friendships with people who are compatible with us on both an
emotional and psychological basis.

7. A Dangerous Experience
When I was younger. I liked to go swimming because we were near at the sea. One day, my cousin and I
decided to swim while we were walking we were very happy were excited. When we were swimming we
were enjoying the water because it so warm to feel. We didn't notice that the wave is becoming bigger and
because we are very far the way to go up. We were playing in an absent minded. After that my cousin and
I was panic already and we felt that we are drowning in the sea and there are some people who were
swimming in the sea even the wave was heavy they help us brought in the center. First we were nervous
because they brought us in the center where the waves were heavier and later on they explain us why
they brought us in the center and we understand the reason. After that we went home crying, shy, nervous
and also thank full that we survive we also learn lesson for that experience. After what happen to us we
decided to learn how to swim. That is my dangerous experience. Whenever I remember it, I feel scary if I
die on that day what will happen to my family. I will never forget this moment in my life.
8. A Vacation Trip from my Childhood
I had a wonderful vacation trip to Malaysia and Singapore from 4th
to 13th
May of 2007. We started for
Malaysia on 3rd
May at 1:25 am by Malaysian Airlines. We reached Kuala Lumpur at 7:20 am (Malaysian
time). We were in a small apartment called “Idaman Suria”. After lunch we started for Genting Highland,
the most amazing place in Malaysia. Genting Highland is on a hill which is 6000 feet about sea-level.
After the ride on the taxi cab we went to Genting Highland by cable car. Genting Highland has an
amusement park with lot of rides and 25-30 storied buildings, hotels, resorts, etc. We enjoyed there a lot
with my cousin who is studying in “Islamic Intenational University (I.I.U)” of Malaysia. After that we
went to Macdonalds and had our dinner there. The next day, 5th
of May, we started for “Putrajaya” the
Administrative capital of Malaysia after our lunch. Putrajaya is a beautiful place and we saw many things
like – The White Mosque, different Ministries of Malaysia and many other things. Next day, 6th
of May,
we did our shopping in Giant, Soso, Hanifa, Bukit Bintang, City Square Mall and Myddin. Next morning,
7th
of May, we went to Patronus Tower (Twin Tower). At first we saw a short movie, then we went to
level 42, that is the bridge between two towers. (The lift was so big that 2 large elephants could fit in
that). Then we shopped at the Patronus shopping Mall – Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (K.L.C.C). At
night we started for Langkawi island, by bus. Next morning, 8th
of May, we reached a place where we had
our breakfast and started for langkawi by ferry (one hour journey). The things that were in Langkawi are:
Langkawi Beach, 7 Wells, Eagle Square, Cable Car. We enjoyed there a lot and started for Kuala Lumpur
that night. In the morning, 9th
of May, we went to visit the “Islamic International University (I.I.U)”. The
University was very huge and also very nice. That day in the afternoon, we started for Singapore. We
stayed in an uncle’s house in Singapore. Next morning we went to Sentosa Island. There we saw: Solosa
Beach, So Car, Cable Car, tour by Trum and many other things. We also went to “Underwater World”
where we saw Dolphin Show, Sea-Lion Show and Songs of the Sea. Next day, 11th
of May, we went to
birds park where we saw hundreds of different types of birds. We also enjoyed Bird and Budies Show and
Eagle Show. Next morning we went to Night Safari where we saw many different kinds of animals. We
also saw Tribal Dance and Night Safari Show. The last day, 13th
of May, we did some shopping and
started for Bangladesh in the afternoon. It was a memorable and exciting vacation trip for me which I will
never forget. Page | 6
9. A Trip that I would Like to Take
There is no man on Earth who does not wish to visit new places and explore new cultures. I make no
exceptions. One of my biggest dreams is to travel round the world and learn new and exotic things.
Although I have already been to some interesting places I consider travelling experience insufficient. And
there has always been one particular trip that I want to take. A trip that I would like to take is the
Disneyland Park which is situated at California of United States. Disneyland, is the first of two theme
parks built at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, opened on July 17, 1955. It is the only theme
park designed and built under the direct supervision of Walt Disney. It was originally the only attraction
on the property; its name was changed to Disneyland Park to distinguish it from the expanding complex in
the 1990. The owner of Disneyland Park is The Walt Disney Company and its is operated by Walt Disney
Parks and Resorts. Walt Disney came up with the concept of Disneyland after visiting various amusement
parks with his daughters in the 1930 and 1940. He initially envisioned building a tourist attraction
adjacent to his studios in Burbank to entertain fans who wished to visit; however, he soon realized that the
proposed site was too small. After hiring a consultant to help him determine an appropriate site for his
project, Disney bought a 160-acre site near Anaheim in 1953. Construction began in 1954 and the park
was unveiled during a special televised press event on the ABC Television Network on July 17, 1955.
Disneyland has a larger cumulative attendance than any other theme park in the world, with over 650
million guests since it opened. In 2013, the park hosted approximately 16.2 million guests, making it the
third most visited park in the world that calendar year. According to a March 2005 Disney Company
report, 65,700 jobs are supported by the Disneyland Resort, including about 20,000 direct Disney
employees and 3,800 third-party employees (independent contractors or their employees). Whole theme
park is divide into 5 parts. The main street U.S.A is also a part of Disneyland. There were many fantastic
mini cars and trains decorated nicely in which there were some Disney Characters such as Mickey Mouse,
Cindrella etc. There were also a ride named The Horse Drawn Street Cars, Mickey’s Fun Wheel, Mater’s
Junkyard Jamboree, Nemo Submarine Voyage etc. In Disneyland Park there were also a Mini Train
Station. In fantasy land of Disneyland there is a castle named Sleeping Beauty Castle which is so
beautiful to see. There were so many well decorated house which is represents Pinocchio’s village. There
is a game corner called Video-Polis. After that there is a discovery on that land there is ride named Space
Mission 2 which is the most thrilling, horrible and exciting ride. This ride is like Roller Coaster at a very
high speed more than 250 km per hour. The whole Disneyland is decorated very nicely. In Disneyland
there were small artificial lake where some statues of elephants were kept nicely. In the evening the whole
Disneyland decorated with colourful lightning. There were collections some very old fashioned cars. If
someday I got any of my vacation I would like to visit Disneyland Park and on that day my mind will
filled with joy.

10. My First Time Away from Home
It was my first time away from home and family. I was 14 years old at the time and I was in Rangpur
Cadet College. In the year 2009 at the month of January I was appeared for Cadet College Exam in class
7. To fulfill my parents wish as well as my wish I give exam to get seat at cadet college and fortunately I
have selected in the written exam and I got the letter for medical exam and viva exam. In medical and
viva exam total 150 candidate selected including me and I was very happy for that. My parents were also
very happy for me and my performance. As well as I selected for Rangpur Cadet college and at the last
week of January I had moved from Dhaka to Rangpur for my Cadet College I felt very sad I need to stay
in Rangpur without my family. I didn’t want to go but for my better future and to fulfill my parents wish I
had to go. After that I left my house for the next vacation of Eid-ul-Fitr. After going there in the Cadet
College I felt very nervous. Because inside the cadet college there is a new environment we need to
follow various types of rules. If we unfortunately break the rules, we the cadets of cadet college have to
get a serious punishment. Our cadet college was ruled under Army rules. So I don’t like this strict rules
and every time I felt very bad for me why I am here. I missed my family a lot. Because it was the first
time I have been away from my sweet home and family.

  • 3. 1. My First Day at a New College My first day of College was an extreme success. I cannot alienate this day from my life. It is long time since I got myself admitted into a famous college named BAF Shaheen College Tejgaon Dhaka. On the first day of College, I was nervous about coming to College. One reason I was nervous about coming, because I was coming to a new environment. I was also coming to a place where I did not know anyone. I was also nervous because I would have to make some changes in myself and in my habits for me to be successful. I had fears of getting to know new people. My other fear was trying to fit in with the others college students and adjust to college life. On July 1st 2013 I went to the college for the first time. I was so excited that I could not sleep the previous night but I was also nervous about this day. I arrived on campus and it felt like my heart was beating in my stomach. Few students were also in the campus then. They appeared to me to be new comers also. I went to the notice board and took down the class routine for the first year classes. First I went to my first class which was Management. I took my seat in the first bench. No one was familiar with me in the class. However, our Management teacher Ziaur Rahman entered the class as well as he is also our Class Teacher. We all stood up. He asked us to sit down. Then the learned teacher started his lecture for us. It was an introductory class. He introduced himself to us. We were also asked to tell our names and result of the SSC examination. He gave us the method of learning as well as disciplinary instructions of the college. We were also suggested to use our time properly. However, when the bell rang the class was over and we had an interval for 50 minutes. Few of my classmates approached me. We introduced ourselves and we started to move around the college campus. Our college had vast premises. We went to our college canteen, college library and many other places. The college campus was very pleasing. Anyway we returned to our class. After that it was our English class. Our English teacher came. She was very learned. She was lean and thin. She started her lecture in lucid and simple English. It was also an introductory class. We got much advice from her. She was really unique for her personality. Thus, we attend five classes on my first day at college; I got the opportunity to be introduced with new method of learning, new environment, new teachers and many other classmates. My first day at college was very exciting as well as interesting. I learned many things and became familiar with the new life. I thought again and again that I became a college student; I was no more a schoolboy. However, sometimes the first day at college peeps into my sub-conscious mind. I consider this day as my most memorable day. Page | 1
  • 4. 2. An Embarrassing Experience The small embarrassing moments in life that make us laugh and cry. I have done countless embarrassing things in my life and when I look back I laugh about it, because most of them are extremely foolish acts by me that back fired on me. Speaking of embarrassing singing moments, when I was about 12 there was a time when I thought I was alone and I was singing In The End from Linkin Park song in the shower. When I walked out of the bathroom, my brother and his wife were playing Dice in the room and she said "thanks, now I know all the lyrics to In The End song". She wasn't mean about it but it was still really embarrassing. There was also a time in class 11 English class when we had to write an Extempore Speech, so I wrote a piece of crap and then the teacher told us we would have to present it to the class. So I had this confusing speech to present, in English, and we weren't allowed to have any notes in front of us, and I get horribly nervous in presentations to begin with... and I just froze multiple times and made no sense whatsoever. And that was actually on the second attempt at presenting. I was supposed to do it the day before, but I was so scared I ended up getting sick and crying. I'm pretty sure everyone in the class thought I was faking it just to get out of the presentation. At that moment it was extremely embarrassing for me but now we have a laugh about it. These small moments in our life makes it interesting. 3. A Frightening Experience A frightening experience is a common phenomenon in one’s life. Once I was also face such a frightening situation when I was about 13 years old. It was a thundery night and it was raining cats and dogs. I was alone at home watching T.V because my parents were out. I was on the comfortable sofa watching television. Suddenly I heard an unusual noise. A shiver ran down my spine but to calm myself down I thought it was the wind howling. As time passed by I kept hearing the same noise and I was scared. Then I saw the garden's door opening but no one was pushing it. I was beginning to think there was a ghost in my house. After a while the lights went off and I began to cry with terror. Later something caught my eye. It was a shadow. The shadow was as black as ebony and it began to waver. I had the feeling that it was a ghost but I realized that it was the coat hanging on the cloak hanger. What a relief! I couldn't wait to tell my parents about what happened. This was the worst night ever. When my parents went home I told them about what happened to me. I am never going to stay at home alone! Never! This was a memorable frightening incident that happened in my life. I still remember it. Whenever I remember it, I feel amused and laugh sub consciously. Page | 2
  • 5. 4. A Memorable Journey A journey from one place to another sometime may be a source of pleasure. Sometimes it may be the cause of sufferings. Life becomes dull and baren for want of recreation. We should manage time to get relief from routine bound life and monotonous work. A journey by train can serve this purpose to some extent and this is one of my memorable journeys. Journey is always pleasure to me. Whenever I go on a journey, my heart leaps up with joy. When I was read in class 9 on that time we some of students of our class, were suggested to go out for and educational tour. In the winter vacation we got sufficient time. So, we decided to go to Chittagong. We took also the decision to go there by train as it was safer and more comfortable. Along with other students we reached Kamalapur station in the morning. Already one of our teachers collected some tickets in the first class compartment at 7 am. We got into our compartment. Really it was very comfortable. We took our seats face to face. Each of us also carried a small travel bag. At 7:30 am the train within many passengers started off slowly indeed. But within a few minutes it began to run very speedily. It began to run on and on. In the compartment all we were talking about our personal subjects. But sometimes I managed to look outside through the window. It was bewildered with the sights on the either sides of the rail path. Sometimes our train passed through the vast fields. The farmers were seen working in their corn field. Our train halted at Fenny station for ten minutes. Some of us got down from our compartment and looked around to get some meal as we were hungry. But we found a small stall and bought some muri and chanachur. I cannot forget how tasty they were. We ate together sitting in the running train. Our teacher along with us. Sometimes he was giving briefing about the places that were left behind. When it was 5:30, we were very near to Chittagong city. The hilly areas appeared to me much enchanting. Some parts of it were covered by small plants. Some areas of it were a little higher than others. Our train touched at Chittagong train station. We got down from the compartment one by one. I looked around the station. It was crowded. Hundreds of passengers were rushing towards the station. Our teacher hired a taxi. We got it and went to our destination. Our journey by train, infact, was very pleasing and comfortable. On the way to Chittagong I kept my eyes open to see the sights and unchained my heart to contain them. My journey was up to my satisfaction. Indeed it was one of the most memorable journeys in my life. Page | 3
  • 6. 5. My First Visit to a Country I have had a great weekend In the year 2004 after the final term examination, we decided to visit Jaipur and Ajmer of India. It is my first visit to a country. From Bangladesh we started our journey on 17 December by Greenline bus. On that day we reached Kolkata. We stayed there in a hotel named Taj Bengal. On 18 December we went outside to visit the important places of Kolkata and there we visited the Indian Museum, Birla Planetarium, Victoria Memorial, Fort William, Aqua Park, Science City, National Library and Underground Railway. On 18 December from Kolkata we started our journey at midnight by Amritsar Express towards Ajmer. Ajmer is one of the holiest cities for the Muslims. On 20 December morning, we reached Ajmer. In the evening we visited the Ana Sager, Akbar’s Palace, and Nasian Jane Temple etc. The 21 December was the Eid-ul-Fitr. Me and my father performed Eid prayer at Ajmer and after Eid Prayer we performed special namaz in the Dargah of Khawaza Muinuddin Chisti (R). We again started our Journey on the same day towards Jaipur by bus. Jaipur is known as the Pink City of the world. It was founded by Sawai Jai Singh II in 1727. Today it has become the most popular tourist point in Rajasthan. We reached there at night on the same day. On 22 December we started our journey by a tourist bus to enjoy the historical place of Jaipur. Our guide narrated shortly the importance of those places. The places we visited were Chandra Mahal, Diwan-I-Khas, Mubarak Mahal etc. Then we visited Mawa Mahal, which was built in 1799 by the poet king Maharaja Pratab Singh. After this, we visited Jal Mahal, Ram Niwas Bagh, Ishwar Lat, Sovind Dergi, and Temple. At last we visited Jantar Mantar (Observatory). It was built in the 18 century by Maharaja Sawal Zai Singh, the last classical astronomer in India. In the way of our return journey to the hotel, our bus stopped at the famous textile and costume museum’s gate. We purchased a traditional Jaipuri dress for me and some gifts for my relatives and friends. My father also purchased a jacket made of the leather of camel. We returned to the hotel at 10:00 pm. After taking rest for one day, we started our journey for Bangladesh via Kolkata. Page | 4
  • 7. 6. The Breakup of a Friendship Friendship for most people is a combination of affection, loyalty, love, respect, and trust. The general traits of a friendship include similar interests, mutual respect and an attachment to each other, and in order to experience friendship, we need to have true friends. The emotional safety provided by friendship means not having to weigh our thoughts and measure words. True friendship is when someone knows us better than ourselves and takes a position in our best interests in a crisis. Friendship goes beyond just sharing time together, and it is long lasting. Friendship can mean different things to different people. For some people it is simply the trust that someone will not hurt us. For others it might be unconditional love or just normal companionship. Whatever our own definition is, friendship is often considered as a mutual and agreeable relationship between two individuals, and that’s a good thing, as it has been said that a person who finds a true friend has found a priceless treasure. “If you haven't learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven't learned anything.”- Muhammad Ali . “A friend is a single soul dwelling in two bodies." – Aristotle. How do you know that you friendship is real and not a lie? You have to be prepared for all. Maybe he or she pretends to be your friend because there is something that he or she need there is an interest. Maybe you know him/her lots of years but you can´t give any kind of confidence. But if you think that you’re supposed friend is someone that you can´t trust or someone that tries to guide you to the wrong way, please break any relationship, that is not good for you. So think who kind of people turns around you and you will know who you are. One of my friend Nahyan had a friend that was very good. He told him all kinds of secrets and all what best friends do. They support each other a lot after all they are friends from their childhood. He supposed to be a very good friend that is what Nahyan thought. But there were some people think that Nahyan was not a good person and Nahyan felt very sad and confused. He didn’t even know why people didn’t like him and thought about him in a wrong way. After that Nahyan’s best friend also misunderstand him and their friendship breaks. Friendship is rarely one-sided though, as it takes two individuals to negotiate the boundaries in a relationship and a friendship will not survive very long if only one person is making the effort to sustain the relationship without any help or recognition from other person. Because it takes both positive and negative experiences to define a personality, it is essential to build our friendships with people who are compatible with us on both an emotional and psychological basis. • 8. 7. A Dangerous Experience When I was younger. I liked to go swimming because we were near at the sea. One day, my cousin and I decided to swim while we were walking we were very happy were excited. When we were swimming we were enjoying the water because it so warm to feel. We didn't notice that the wave is becoming bigger and because we are very far the way to go up. We were playing in an absent minded. After that my cousin and I was panic already and we felt that we are drowning in the sea and there are some people who were swimming in the sea even the wave was heavy they help us brought in the center. First we were nervous because they brought us in the center where the waves were heavier and later on they explain us why they brought us in the center and we understand the reason. After that we went home crying, shy, nervous and also thank full that we survive we also learn lesson for that experience. After what happen to us we decided to learn how to swim. That is my dangerous experience. Whenever I remember it, I feel scary if I die on that day what will happen to my family. I will never forget this moment in my life. 8. A Vacation Trip from my Childhood I had a wonderful vacation trip to Malaysia and Singapore from 4th to 13th May of 2007. We started for Malaysia on 3rd May at 1:25 am by Malaysian Airlines. We reached Kuala Lumpur at 7:20 am (Malaysian time). We were in a small apartment called “Idaman Suria”. After lunch we started for Genting Highland, the most amazing place in Malaysia. After that we went to Macdonalds and had our dinner there. The next day, 5th of May, we started for “Putrajaya” the Administrative capital of Malaysia after our lunch. At first we saw a short movie, then we went to level 42, that is the bridge between two towers. (The lift was so big that 2 large elephants could fit in that). Then we shopped at the Patronus shopping Mall – Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (K.L.C.C). At night we started for Langkawi island, by bus. Next morning, 8th of May, we reached a place where we had our breakfast and started for langkawi by ferry (one hour journey). The things that were in Langkawi are: Langkawi Beach, 7 Wells, Eagle Square, Cable Car. We enjoyed there a lot and started for Kuala Lumpur that night. In the morning, 9th of May, we went to visit the “Islamic International University (I.I.U)”. The University was very huge and also very nice. That day in the afternoon, we started for Singapore. We stayed in an uncle’s house in Singapore. Next morning we went to Sentosa Island. There we saw: Solosa Beach, So Car, Cable Car, tour by Trum and many other things. • 9. 9. A Trip that I would Like to Take There is no man on Earth who does not wish to visit new places and explore new cultures. I make no exceptions. One of my biggest dreams is to travel round the world and learn new and exotic things. Although I have already been to some interesting places I consider travelling experience insufficient. And there has always been one particular trip that I want to take. A trip that I would like to take is the Disneyland Park which is situated at California of United States. Disneyland, is the first of two theme parks built at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, opened on July 17, 1955. It is the only theme park designed and built under the direct supervision of Walt Disney. It was originally the only attraction on the property; its name was changed to Disneyland Park to distinguish it from the expanding complex in the 1990. The owner of Disneyland Park is The Walt Disney Company and its is operated by Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. Walt Disney came up with the concept of Disneyland after visiting various amusement parks with his daughters in the 1930 and 1940. He initially envisioned building a tourist attraction adjacent to his studios in Burbank to entertain fans who wished to visit; however, he soon realized that the proposed site was too small. After hiring a consultant to help him determine an appropriate site for his project, Disney bought a 160-acre site near Anaheim in 1953. Construction began in 1954 and the park was unveiled during a special televised press event on the ABC Television Network on July 17, 1955. Disneyland has a larger cumulative attendance than any other theme park in the world, with over 650 million guests since it opened. In 2013, the park hosted approximately 16.2 million guests, making it the third most visited park in the world that calendar year. According to a March 2005 Disney Company report, 65,700 jobs are supported by the Disneyland Resort, including about 20,000 direct Disney employees and 3,800 third-party employees (independent contractors or their employees). Whole theme park is divide into 5 parts. The main street U.S.A is also a part of Disneyland. There were many fantastic mini cars and trains decorated nicely in which there were some Disney Characters such as Mickey Mouse, Cindrella etc. There were also a ride named The Horse Drawn Street Cars, Mickey’s Fun Wheel, Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree, Nemo Submarine Voyage etc. In Disneyland Park there were also a Mini Train Station. In fantasy land of Disneyland there is a castle named Sleeping Beauty Castle which is so beautiful to see. There were so many well decorated house which is represents Pinocchio’s village. There is a game corner called Video-Polis. After that there is a discovery on that land there is ride named Space Mission 2 which is the most thrilling, horrible and exciting ride. This ride is like Roller Coaster at a very high speed more than 250 km per hour. The whole Disneyland is decorated very nicely. In Disneyland there were small artificial lake where some statues of elephants were kept nicely. In the evening the whole Disneyland decorated with colourful lightning. There were collections some very old fashioned cars. If someday I got any of my vacation I would like to visit Disneyland Park and on that day my mind will filled with joy. Page | 7
  • 10. 10. My First Time Away from Home It was my first time away from home and family. I was 14 years old at the time and I was in Rangpur Cadet College. In the year 2009 at the month of January I was appeared for Cadet College Exam in class 7. To fulfill my parents wish as well as my wish I give exam to get seat at cadet college and fortunately I have selected in the written exam and I got the letter for medical exam and viva exam. In medical and viva exam total 150 candidate selected including me and I was very happy for that. My parents were also very happy for me and my performance. As well as I selected for Rangpur Cadet college and at the last week of January I had moved from Dhaka to Rangpur for my Cadet College I felt very sad I need to stay in Rangpur without my family. I didn’t want to go but for my better future and to fulfill my parents wish I had to go. After that I left my house for the next vacation of Eid-ul-Fitr. After going there in the Cadet College I felt very nervous. Because inside the cadet college there is a new environment we need to follow various types of rules. If we unfortunately break the rules, we the cadets of cadet college have to get a serious punishment. Our cadet college was ruled under Army rules. So I don’t like this strict rules and every time I felt very bad for me why I am here. I missed my family a lot. Because it was the first time I have been away from my sweet home and family. Page | 8
