2. The title of the film
In this shot, you see the name of the
film for the first time. The name
suggests that something is about to
end and that there is likely to be death
in the film. The name of the film should
give the audience an idea of what the
film would be about, which is what real
film companies do when they decide
the names of their films.

3. The Setting
This shows the setting of the film as you
can see that it is set in a dingy garage
that is quite run down and dishevelled.
This was my location for the film which
links in with the way a real company
would choose a location to film in, as I
have done.

4. Camera work and editing
For this, you can see how I edited
the film, as this is the first shot of
the film that you see other than the
ident. You can see that I have
changed the filter to black and
white. This is similar to a real film
company because you would edit
your film according to what the
story suggests.

5. Story/Narrative
Here, you can see how the story is
beginning to take place. You can see
that the film is in black and white which
depicts flashbacks, and there is a shot
of a girl holding a knife with blood
dripping down her arm. This suggests
that she has murdered someone and
their blood is on her arm. A real film
company would also have to decide
what the story is before they film their
opening title sequences.

6. Genre and suggestions of it
Here, you can see that there are
numerous knives and other kitchen tools
laying on a table, covered in blood. This
suggests that the film would be a horror
film as blood and weapons are things
that regularly appear in horror films. This
helps the audience to really understand
the genre of the film, or to help them to
guess what the genre of the film is.

7. Characters
In this shot, you can see that the main
character in the film may have some
mental health issues as they are seen self
harming and you can also see that they
have done it several other times on their
arm. This could suggest a lot about the
character, and could suggest a reason for
why they have done what they have done.
