Data collection to facilitate
road mapping
Edit and update road network
map
GovOne enables to collect information about
position, images and technical data to facili-
tate the road property management: km post,
bridge, tunnel, culvert, signing boards, H post,
etc… at site by mobile application to be installed
in the mobile device (smart phones or tablets).
Post-collection data shall be directly synchro-
nized from mobile device to the system to facili-
tate the road mapping.
GovOne supports to automatically export sec-
tion details in the route from GPS position, col-
lect data in offline mode (without 3G or Wifi
connectivity)
Govone facilitates road mapping from onsite
data collection sources or other available sourc-
es such as: GPS data, previous drawings/maps
or combination of such two sources.
Govone provides essential and special tools to
support road mapping: data entry tools from
various formats; mapping tools; map editing
tools; tools of updating records, documents
and attached images; tools of presenting map
layers.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Promulgate the DoT’s decision on applying the GovOne software to road
maintenance management as the locality’s general guidelines so that it may
be applied by the management units
Prepare the plan on standardizing traffic work map under the management
of the Department of Transport (DoT) by applying GovOne technology. Such
plan includes main work items such as:
Develop the regulation on using GovOne software for each individual and
organization to involve in road maintenance management activities. The par-
ticipants include:
Standardize traffic map from DoT’s available sources (information is provided
for standardization by DoT, the standardization service is offered by eKGIS)
Collect the traffic work data layers to facilitate the work mapping, including
(but not limited to) management subjects such as: km post, bridge, culvert,
picket, signing boards, etc. (Data is collected by GovOne software)
Develop the automatic section model (supported by eKGIS)
Edit the traffic theme-based maps (supported by eKGIS)

Facilitate to manage the technical parameters,
images and documents, etc., of the works in the
road map. The user is also enabled to self-edit
and expand the management information for
each work category
Follow up and record the contents and results
of each works-based inspection, maintenance
and service
Offer the application to support quickly record-
ing the requests, notices and feedbacks of the
road users on road system conditions and fail-
ures. All requests are visually managed in the
required map from the information provided by
the requesters, detail information and required
positions. Accordingly, the employee may be
assigned to promptly recover right in such ap-
plication by the manager.
The official in-charge of road patrolling and in-
spection is enabled to fulfill the assigned tasks
right on his mobile device at site. After the road
inspection data is synchronized to the center,
many users at various levels may easily access
to it through Web browser or mobile devices to
promptly grasp the ongoing problems or fail-
ures at site and supervise the implementation
unit’s compliance with the regulations on road
patrolling and inspection.
The inspection positions are visually displayed
in the traffic map to facilitate the easier posi-
tioning of the problems. With only one click on
the inspection site on the map, it is possible to
look up or print all information from the inspec-
tion data and images

Onsite road patrolling and inspection results
shall be synchronized in the website and the
manager shall see all inspection results and fail-
ures on the map, understanding the accurate
position and condition images, etc. The failure
status may be filtered and searched by filtering
conditions: processed, unprocessed, pending
and filtering by inspector, etc. to facilitate the
duty assignment for timely troubleshooting
The road maintenance task shall be delivered
to telephone or tablets of workers with job re-
quirements and job site, etc., to fulfill the task.
At the assigned job site for troubleshooting
and property maintenance, the images may
be collected (unlimited photos: photos of ex-
isting conditions, etc.), videos and otherwise.
Onsite feedback, report on work performance
and property information look up may be made
through mobile devices.
The worker may be assigned with the tasks of
failure inspection, troubleshooting, road repair
and maintenance from inspection results or no-
tice of road users by the leaders of Department
of Transport or Maintenance Management
Company. It may be also enclosed with the in-
spection and maintenance information into the
duty assignment sheet for the repair and main-
tenance worker.
The leaders of Department of Transport or
Maintenance Management Company may fol-
low up and supervise the work performance
submitted from the site by the workers and
see all work performances on the map, under-
standing the accurate position and time of task
fulfillment made by the worker as well as the
existing conditions of the assets or failures, etc.,
through images.
