  IWB’s are only as interactive as the teacher
   allows them to be. (Quashie, 2009)
  The interactive whiteboard revolution provides
   me with a great resource to help teachers
   integrate technology into the classroom by
   making their lessons more interactive.

Why Professional Networks  Web 2.0 tools allow educators to share best practice, ask questions and grow professionally (Hargardon, 2007)  Collaboration is key to professional development (ISTE, 2008)  Learning is inherently social (Vogel, 2009)  “Educational Networking” is the use of social networking technologies for educational purposes (Hargadon, 2010)
  • 3. Duties of the Instructional Technology Specialist  Collaborate with other teacher concerning best practices as they relate to effective integration of technology.  Integrate technology by creating and sharing effective lessons.  Use The Interactive Whiteboard Revolution and Classroom 2.0.

The Interactive Whiteboard Revolution http://iwbrevolution.ning.com  Every classroom in our district has an Interactive Whiteboard (IWB)  IWB’s are only as interactive as the teacher allows them to be. (Quashie, 2009)  The interactive whiteboard revolution provides me with a great resource to help teachers integrate technology into the classroom by making their lessons more interactive.
  • 6. The Interactive Whiteboard Revolution provides:  Resources for members:  Videos discussing tips for different lessons  Group Discussions  Special Education, Primary Teachers and High School Teachers  Forum  Allows collaboration with other teachers and IWB experts.
  • 7. Impact  Videos/Activtips  Clips that describe the more advance functions of the IWB  Photos  Demonstrates how allows are using the IWB  Placement in the classroom  Different interactions  Forums/Groups  Allows me to discuss topics that is relative to my school/district
