10. The Charity Model
The Charity Model sees people with
disabilities as victims of their impairment .
Depending on the disability , the disabled
persons cannot walk, talk, see, learn, or work.
Disability is seen as a deficit. Persons with
disabilities are not able to help themselves
and to lead an independent life.

12. Nagi Model
Disablement Terminology. Nagi used the term,
pathology, pathophysiology, impairment,
functional limitation and disability to describe
health status. These term can be used to
categorize clinical observations systematically.
17. Economic Model of Disability.
• Under this Model, disability is defined by a
person's inability to participate in work. It also
assesses the degree to which impairment
affects an individual's productivity and the
economic consequences for the individual,
employer and the state.
19. • Transactional Model makes damning
assumptions that health can be bought. That
as consumers, we are dependant on the drug
and healthcare providers; and this provision is
a business. Also takes account of value...ie, an
amputee may be 100% disabled as a
footballer, but not at all disabled as a
computer programmer. Tom Munnecke

REHABILITATION." ... among medical
conditions, impairments, functional
limitations, and the effects of the interaction
of the person with the environment (i.e.,
handicap, disability, societal limitation)
although each uses different nomenclatures
for the components.
