1. Workshop Objectives
It is my hope the information you hear in my workshop will inspire, and encourage you. I
hope you feel understood and ready to make positive life changes for yourself, and your
family.
My workshop is based on life experience. Not expertise by any means-
There are no perfect parents, or perfect families.
So let’s begin-
2. The Most Common Cause Of Stress In A
Household
Finances.
Work/Career.
Lack Of Time/ There never “seems” to be enough time.
Shelter/Finding a “family Friendly” environment to live in.
Retirement.
Social Life/Your needs as an adult.
Scheduling activities for your child(ren).
3. Your Home/The Foundation
Maintaining a healthy balance as head of your household.
∙Everyone needs an outlet.
∙Surrounding yourself w/those who respect you, your home/household, and your
time.
4. Parents Need A “Healthy” Outlet
Physical activities such as- jogging, biking, yoga, and weight
lifting.
Meditation.
Socializing with friends.
Reading, art, and gardening are also positive options as well.
5. Children Need A “Healthy” Outlet
Physical activities such as- biking, roller skating, and
playing sports.
Socializing/ Play dates.

7. Enjoy The Moments In “Between”
Enjoy the moments we have “in the meantime” for-
Communicating w/each other so everyone’s needs are heard/met.
Bonding Together. Parent/Child relationships, etc.
8. As A Parent
You are the head of your household.
Your child(ren) count on you to be the anchor/Someone to
count on.
As a parent you set the example for your child(ren).
For example; Prayer before meals, eating meals together as a
family at the table. Your habits “may” become your child(ren’s)
habits when they have their own family as adults.
9. Your Child’s/Children’s Needs
Make time to play, laugh, hug, and talk with your
child(ren).
Compliment and recognize your child(ren’s) growth.
Make time to check-in with your child(ren).
10. With All Of Life’s Demands Rushing “Here, There, and Every Where”
Trying to manage time, schedules, and
activities it can be challenging making time to
“hear and see” each other in a household.
11. Learning It Is Okay To Ask For Help “Some Times”
As a single Mother (parent)
I enjoy the feeling of completing a task.
Enjoy Accomplishments.
The personal growth/internal reward of seeing a goal to
completion.
Advice should come from “trusted” friends/family, or
certified professionals.
12. Making Time For Self Care
Make time to organize.
Re-Group and focus.
Take time to heal.
Make time to work on your growth.
Quiet time. Sit in silence. Meditation.
Deciding to live healthy and make healthy changes for your household.
Evaluating what needs to be done differently.
Responding VS. Reacting.
