Abstract
Fundamentally, lightning is a manifestation of a very large electric spark. From the engineering aspect, several
theories have been advanced to explain accumulation of electricity in clouds, but have not been studied much from
the human effect. In the event of lightning injury, immediately attention and basic life support to those that appear
dead can give them greatest chance of fully recovery. The main aim of this paper is inform the human effect of
lightning strikes, the information provided here was obtained from recent review articles in medical journals. Good
medical information is difficult to obtain because there are no large series oaf cases treated by one institution. This
paper is presented here for educational but is not meant to be scientific paper.
Key words: Lightning, human effect.
