Deadline:

Requirements:
1) Each TA will be required to complete a total of at least one hour of professional development.
Some examples include:
● Working one-on-one with a faculty member on professional documents
● Attending a safe zone training
● Attending a workshop sponsored by CETL
● Attending a workshop sponsored by GSSP
● Attending a workshop sponsored by COGS
● Attending an EGA or Sigma Tau Delta event
2) This one hour can be completed in consultation with a faculty member in each TA’s
department (MA or MFA), depending upon each TA’s needs. For instance, first-year MAs
preparing to go onto the job market are encouraged to focus on job application materials,
whereas third-year MFAs in their final semester may focus instead on a CETL workshop.
3) Each TA should decide how they complete this hour no later than March 15 and should notify
their collab group leader of their plans.
4) After completing an hour of professional development, each TA should upload one of the
following to Blackboard:
● A scanned copy of a certificate of completion
● A form signed by a faculty member confirming TA met to discuss documents
● A one-page (double spaced) reflection
