Overview of employment with Cambridge/Xchanging – Began working for Cambridge Integrated
Services Group in November 2004 which split out on its own from AON Group on January 1, 2005.
I was hired to start up and manage the benefits and payroll department. Cambridge and Scandent
were bought by Xchanging PLC in July 2008. Cambridge was sold to Sedgwick CMS in May 2011
at which time I stayed with Xchanging to manage payroll and benefits for all Xchanging US
companies. Xchanging Services Inc., was a start-up which began in September 2011 and SBB
Services, Inc. was acquired by Xchanging in September 2013. Xchanging was purchased by CSC
in April 2016 where I was given a retention package to stay on board through March 2017 and help
transition all payroll and benefits to the CSC systems and close out/terminate all Xchanging payroll
and benefits contracts/plans.
BENEFITS
Manage the planning, implementation and administration of US benefit programs, in order to
maintain competitive posture in the market place, and achieve efficiency and cost savings in day-
to-day operations.
Implemented benefit programs and payroll processing for Cambridge beginning January 1,
2005. Began administration and processing of Scandent payroll (another subsidiary of parent
company) in July 2008. Cambridge employee base is around 1500 and Scandent employee
base is around 170. Both companies have separate benefit programs and payroll processing
vendors. Began administration of Xchanging System & Services payroll and benefits in June
2011, Xchanging Services payroll and benefits in Sept. 2011 and SBB Services payroll and
benefits in January 2014.
Maintained administration and management of 4 separate Xchanging US companies all having
different benefit plans and vendors.
In January 2015 consolidated 4 Xchanging US company benefit programs to align all US
companies under the same vendors/benefit plans and provided a decrease in overall cost for
Xchanging.
Implemented and maintain/update the Employee Self Service website for on-line
administration.
2. Analyze and evaluate services, coverage, and options available through insurance and
investment companies to determine programs best meeting needs of the organization.
Continue to advance knowledge of federal/state laws and regulations, in the ever changing
(HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, EGGTRA, ARRA, ACA etc.) to ensure company
compliance.
Partner with broker to negotiate contracts with benefit plan providers, vendors, auditors and
consultants for comprehensive services, competitive premiums and plan administration.
Design and communicate information to employees and former employees about benefit
programs, procedures, changes, and government-mandated disclosures.
Develop recommend and monitor budget allocations for employee benefit programs.
Prepare and submit data for government-mandated reports such as 5500’s. Prepare and
research data for audits on the 401(k) plan, and compile data for mid-year, year-end
discrimination and top-heavy testing.
Manage leave of absence claims process by working with supervisors and third party providers
to ensure timely return-to-work, needed accommodations, reduction in claim payments and
employer FICA reporting to Ceridian for W-2’s.
Interface with all levels of employees from preparing and presenting proposals to Executive
Management, to benefit claim/compensation/payroll issue resolution with managers,
supervisors and other employees.
Produce and analyze billings and remit benefit payments to carriers on a monthly basis.
Process file transfers for FSA, Transit and 401k deposits to vendors each payroll processing.
HRIS
Manage HRIS systems on a company wide basis including vendor negotiations, maintaining
vendor relations, and overseeing system upgrades. Remain up to date on changes in technology
and recommend system changes as appropriate.
Implement downloads/uploads from HRIS system and coordinate transfer of data through file
feeds to external vendors, plan providers, auditors and consultants.
Modify and customize system codes, tables, reports and other system applications to meet
user requirements.
Produce reports on a monthly basis for various departments (turnover, headcount, terms & new
hires etc.)
Managed successful migration from Peoplesoft to Ceridian Web product in January 2005.
Introduced the US to the global HRIS system (Workday) in 2014. Worked with Workday
implementation team to produce and test a payroll interface from Workday to the Ceridian
payroll system to maintain integrity between the two systems. Also was lead in training and
employee questions on the Workday system for the US
PAYROLL
Manage the daily activities of four centralized multi-state payroll systems.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll records, documents, reports and payroll
checks for 4 separate U.S. payrolls.
Implemented and maintain time and attendance system. Manage changes and updates to time
and attendance system to ensure integrity of data between the HRIS system and the time and
attendance system.
Execute and maintain bankruptcy, child support, and all other garnishment orders.
Track, manage and update employee eligibility and accruals for personal, sick and vacation
benefits.
Compile and distribute semi-monthly and monthly financial reports.
Audit year-end payroll reports to ensure accuracy of W-2’s and process W-2 corrections.

Mange salary increase process from answering questions about errors or issues with the
process of setting objectives and completing evaluations by both employees and managers in
Workday system, to running the Workday interface to Ceridian and ensuring/testing to be sure
all entries are accurate and accounted for in payroll for processing. Process salary increase
letters for signatures by mangers and then ensure all letters are placed in employee files.
