2. What it does ?
The BBC Trust is the governing body of the British
Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). It is not working
apart of the BBC management and external bodies,
and its stated aim is to make decisions in the best
interests of licence fee payers.
3. What is it responsible for ?
The administrative Board is responsible for the operational
delivery of BBC services and the direction of BBC editorial and
creative output in line with the framework set by the Trust. Our
job is to get the best out of the BBC for licence fee payers
The Trust is responsible for setting the overall strategy for the
BBC’s business performance and for setting an approvals
framework within which to assess commercial proposals from
the BBC Executive.

4. How it does it
The BBC Trust is the governing body of the BBC, and
we make sure the BBC delivers that mission. Led by
Chairman Rona Fairhead, and consisting of 12
Trustees, the Trust is the guardian of licence fee
revenue and of the public interest in the BBC. ... Our

payers.
