2. To start off with open motion
and make a new project. You
can add in the duration of how
long you want your effect to
be, for example I've put it to
10 seconds
3. Once you have opened your new project it will look something like this. You can see everything
that you may need when making the effect. You can import your video that the effect is going to be on by
Going to your area an finding it.
4. Here you can see I have imported my video. I have done this by dragging it onto the display.
5. Here I have set everything up and now I am finding the effect that I will use. I will do this by going
On the library and going on particle emitters since I want a fireball effect.
6. Here you can see the effects that are linked in
with fire as I have searched, which you can also do if you
cant find what your looking for. I have chosen the fire plume effect.
7. Here I have dragged the effect of where I want it to go, as you can see its by the actors hand
as it will be shooting out from there
8. Here I have edited the effect by going on properties and playing with the settings and figuring out
where I need to put the effect to make it look as good as possible. You can also change the size of
the effect which I did to make it look suitable to the actor.
9. Here I went on the behaviors tab, and I edited the effect by changing the speed to my
liking and the amplitude of the effect.
10. Here I have motion tracked the effect through the scene of the video, by playing record
and motion tracking to where its going to end up.
11. Here is the end product of the effect and as you can see it turned out the way I wanted it to.
