2. What Is Good Conductor???
• Good conductors are
materials that are able
to conduct electricity or
heat. They are
substances that are able
to carry a complete
electric current in end-
to-end voltage.
• For example: copper,
gold, silver, aluminium,
etc
3. What Is Bad Conductor???
• A bad conductor of
heat means that such
a substance does not
conduct or transfer or
absorb heat.
Examples of bad
conductors are wood,
plastic, ceramics,
paper, rubber. Most
ceramics and plastics
are bad conductors of
electricity.
4. Testers
• Testers can be made by
constructing an electrical
circuit using a bulb wires
and cells as shown in
figures.
• A flow of electric current
through a material can
also be checked by
deflection of the needle
of a magnetic compass.
• A testers can also be
made using an LED(light
emitting diode).
5. Conductivity Of Liquid
• a tester to check if electricity is
flowing through a wire in a circuit. If
the bulb in the tester glows, it
indicates that current is flowing
through the wire; else, current does
not exist. Electrical conductivity of
liquids can be explained by a simple
activity of taking a liquid, like lemon
juice, in a container, inserting
electrodes in it, connecting the two
electrodes to the terminals of a
battery with a bulb between them.
The bulb glows, indicating that
lemon juice is a conductor of
electricity. Several liquids can be
checked for electrical conductivity
on in the same way.
