2.  The reported speech is the way in which you can tell, explain,
write or say something in your own words. In this case, it’s
important to change the verb.
 When you tell something, generally, you speak in direct form. To
report, you use the indirect form.

3. How do we change from direct to indirect speech?
When we are going to change from direct speech to indirect
speech, it is essential to take into account the type of sentence
we are dealing with.
 The first step is to identify the sentence affirmative,
negative or question.
 Next is to identify the verb tense. This will give us a slight
idea of what we have to do.
 Finally, rewrite the sentence using the name/pronoun plus
said that…
 Then, remove the quotations marks and rewrite the sentence
changing the verb tense..
