POINT-OF-VIEW
Nike is one of the most prominent athletic brands. It is
known for its quality of products. Besides, it is also well
known for its initiatives towards its social roles. I have
always dreamt to work with this company as I have
been influenced by its marketing campaigns that are
not only targeted to earn profits but also delivers good
social message.
The campaign serves as a good illustration of a successful
marketing campaign. The brand has gained a favorable
reputation with its target audience as a result of a variety of
initiatives that are not only concerned with earnings but also
with society and the environment.
The Equality campaign was launched in the year when
different individuals faced racial discrimination. Hence, the
campaign was largely driven towards this issue to promote
equality among all individuals from different cultures, regions,
castes, and ethnic groups.
Different prominent athletes participated in the campaign to
gain a larger audience’s attention. The campaign successfully
promoted social justice through its captivating concept that
“The ball should bounce the same for everyone” (Nike,
n.d.).

The equality campaign highlighted the efficiency of the company to scan and
understand the dynamic business environment. The campaign helped to
improve the brand loyalty of the customers. The company associated its brand
with the equality movement and earned great respect and popularity as the
advertisement effectively appeals to the emotions of its customers. The brand
was successful at generating brand awareness through its social message of
diversity and equality.
