I am an ambitious, dynamic and highly motivated Mechanical Engineer who has worked in the engineering
industry for more than 3 years. As an individual I have the understanding and capability of completing tasks
as a reliable team member as well as using my own initiative. Working in a fast-paced environment has
resulted in me being fl exible and good at managing deadlines for important tasks. I am very punctual and
pride myself on my organization skills, as I believe that these assets are important in a successful career.
This valuable work experience has developed my communication skills at all levels, and I am an honest,

2. Employment History:-
• John Guest Ltd (2013-Current) Project Engineer
About: John Guest are the world leaders in manufacturing of push-fit connectors, pipe and plastic plumbing systems
to a wide variety of industries and applications such as Drinks Dispense, Plumbing, Pneumatics, Compressed Air
Systems, Water Purification, Drinks Vending, Automotive and Telecommunications. All John Guest connectors are
manufactured in the UK, and the company has over 100 injection moulding machines on site and make everything
in-house from the tooling for the machines down to the automated assembly machines.
I have been working at this company for 3 years (1 year placement as part of my studies). This has developed my
skills and proved my ability to work hard and effectively; resulting in a promotion from Product Designer to Project
Engineer.
My role included:
o Determine project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, performance
standards and preparing cost estimates for projects.
o Managing Projects from conception till production.
o Meeting internal approvals, gaining sign off and releasing documentations. (Beta and Alpha).
o Communicating effectively at all levels including attending design, progress and supplier meetings with
customers, managers and directors.
o To design plastic injection moulded and metal connectors as required for manufacturing, including correct
tolerance and creating technique drawing to British standards.
o Developing Products and assembly fixtures on 3D CAD packages, using SolidWorks
o Conducting engineering analysis utilising dedicated FEA & CFD software, SolidWorks simulation
o Rendering final product and creating data sheets for customers.
o Working closely with tool designer to adapt product for tool design and developing tool manufacture planning
and costing.
o Simulating the moulding process and working out best gate positions and injection moulding cycle times,
using Solidworks Plastics
o Overseeing the commissioning process of the final parts looking out for moulding imperfections, along with
providing solutions to various manufacturing quires and corrective actions.
o Working with production and developing assembly and Ultra-Sonic welding fixtures.
o Exploring and implementing new technology and methods.
o Testing final product to regulations and specifications using on site facilities such as Tensometer, Burst tests,
water hammer and other test Rigs.
o Client interaction, such as providing solutions and technical support to customer specific enquiries on how to
best utilise company products in customer environments.
o Use MS Word and Excel software to create templates, test result reports and help create parameters for
Solidworks to keep internal database organized.
• John Guest Ltd (2011-2012) Junior Product Engineer
I started working at John Guest as my industrial placement which was part of my university course. As this was my
first role in the engineering industry I learnt a lot. In my role I was able to move around different departments such as
production, inspection and tool design and learn more about how John Guest worked and the key aspects of design
for manufacture and mass production. From showing my enthusiasm to learn and work hard I was offered and schol-
arship for my final year at university and a permanent higher role when I finished university.
My role included:
o Junior design which later developed to product design.
o Design injection moulded speed fit pipe connectors and automotive connectors to correct tolerances.
o During my placement I was able to learn a lot about how an engineering company works and was able to get
hands on with all the process from concept idea to production as everything was done In-house.
o Tool design and its key aspects
o Working with tolerances
o Communicating my designs with managers and directors.
3. • Brentford FC Community Sports Trust (2005-2011) Lead Football and Cricket coach ⁄ Co-ordinator
About: Brentford FC CST was amongst the pioneering programmes aimed at engaging football clubs with their com-
munities. They offer 178 projects across four key areas - sports participation, health, education and social inclusion.
Now approaching there 10th year as a Charitable Sports Trust they continue to develop as one of the leading provid-
ers of sports, education and career opportunities in West London. Brentford FC CST organises and carries out free
sports and social inclusion session in deprived areas of West London for young adults to youths.
My role included:
o I was head coach at football session and cricket sessions and was in charge for planning the session making
sure registers where kept up to date and carrying out coaching during the session.
o Involved in organising new session in new areas of West London.
o Over seeing other coaches of lower level at sessions.
o Communicating with all different levels of people from managers, parents to participants.
o FA football Level 1 Qualified
o ECB Cricket Level 1 Qualified
