Sponsor Executive
Term position (Extended Education leadership program with the University of Manitoba)
My role as a Sponsor Executive was to effectively manage relationships and accounts
during United Way’s peak campaign season.
2010-2014 Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs
Project Manager/Researcher
Under the direction and supervision of the Assembly of Manitoba Senior Policy Analyst in
housing, I was responsible for providing technical support, research, analytical support
related to capital infrastructure, and policy development for First Nation Housing.
Other duties included as follows:
- Gave initial analysis of research findings of reports regarding
regional and national policy implication to First Nations housing and infrastructure;
- Managed technical support for policy, funding and strategy development;
- Facilitating workshops, and policy development training for housing; and
- Managed department budget and project proposals for federal funding.
2009-2010 VAW Systems
Project Manager/Technologist
As Project Manager/Technologist in the Energy Turbine Division my responsibilities were to
manage assigned projects and process orders in compliance within contract specifications
and policies using LEAN principals. Facilitate projects as required between the customer,
engineering and production staff, and purchasers.
Other duties included as follows:
- Assisted in Research and Development of products;
- Do major and minor changes to CAD drawings as required;
- Ensure project releases and drawings correspond to customer requirements; and
- Review Contract documents, release packages, and proposals.
2004-2009 Miramichi Engineering Ltd.
Mechanical Engineering Technologist/Project Manager
As a Mechanical Designer, my responsibilities were to ensure the completion of all projects
and ensuring that all work met customer quality standards. I was also responsible for
establishing schedules, budgets, and coordination of work with end users and outside
agencies.
Other duties included as follows:
- Do major and minor changes to all structural, and mechanical drawings to reflect
changes as required;
- Deal with customer inquiries related to projects; and
- Produce contract documentations, tender packages, and proposals.

Infrastructure Support Specialist
As an Infrastructure Support Specialist for First Nations, my main responsibilities were to
provide standard operational management training to housing and infrastructure
technologists. I was also responsible to provide training on preventative maintenance for
housing & infrastructure and mechanical systems, and marketing the products.
Vapor Canada Inc.
Mechanical Designer/Drafter
As a mechanical Designer/Drafter, my responsibilities were to work directly with the R&D
department to design and illustrate mechanical & electrical assembly drawings, and to
coordinate other illustrators.
Accomplishments & Publications
With Vapor Rail Canada as the mechanical designer assigned to various projects, I was
part of the designing team with both client and vendors of Vapor’s Northeast Corridor high-
speed train from Boston to Washington project. We were the first design team to design a
new Monitoring & Tilting system in North America.
With the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs as a co-investigator in partnership with Dr. Linda
Larcombe with the University of Manitoba Medical Research team, we were to identify the
lack of housing that integrates their cultural and social values and practical needs with
existing housing policies and programs. The goal of the research was for the Dene
communities to take stock of their housing post Canada’s Economic Action Plan and to
envision culturally relevant housing that promotes health equity, and healthy housing.
