2. HOW DID YOU USE
MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES
IN THE CONSTRUCTION
AND
RESEARCH, PLANNING
AND EVALUATION
STAGES?
3. Looking back at previous tasks, I feel that the standards of our
work have improved drastically in terms of our footage, our ideas and
our evaluation techniques. We expanded on a lot of ideas such as the
kidnapping theme that we portrayed in a way that we felt was uniquely
done as opposed to all of the films that we have seen in our research
on similar themed storylines.
4. From previous and current products that we have created, I have
learnt that planning and time keeping are vital in stages of production, in
order for it be a success. Time management is something that my group
and I struggled with this time because of the amount of time that we
spent editing our footage and delaying our Foley sound recording and the
recording of the soundtrack. Due to the fact that we were behind
schedule with the sound which had a direct impact on the amount of time
we had left to focus on the ancillary tasks.
5. I used many different media technologies for various different reason
during the stages of pre-production, production and evaluation. For
example; for my research, I used the internet and specific websites such as
IMDB and YouTube that presented me with many different trailers and
background information on the production behind the film. I also used
YouTube to watch production logo tutorials as part of my research on
ideas for our production logo. I presented this commonly on Microsoft
Word and posted it on the Word press blog.
6. For the production of our trailer, we had used the DSLR camera
to record our entire footage and we used the zoom to record all of
our dialogue and the Foley Sounds. After the filming process of
production, we used Premiere Pro CS6 to edit our footage on a
timeline.
7. During the stages of process for the evaluation segment, I used the technology
of an iPad that I felt defines the new media technology, to record myself in order to
answer question 1. For question 2, I used the presentation software that is Prezi in
order for me to present my points electronically on the combination of our main
product and ancillary tasks. For question 3, I used Microsoft PowerPoint, which I
then exported through Slide Share on the importance of audience feedback, and
also used Slide Share to answer question 4. This shows the varied different type of
media technologies that I am capable of using in terms of creation of new media
products.
