 Engagement means to make a difference in the
life of our communities and developing the
knowledge , skills among the communities.
Reflection:
 Reflection is nothing but the give and take
policy .
 The knowledge gained from the services to the
community.
Reciprocity:
 Involvement of people.

2. Faculty.
3.Community.
Public dissemination:
A Message to the people without getting
any feedback from community.
Meaning of community
 The condition of sharing or having certain attitudes,
skills, knowledge or interests in common.
 A social group of members reside in a specific locality,
share government, and often have a common cultural
and historical heritage.
Community Dynamics
 Geographical community.
 Communities of interest.
 Virtual community.
Geographical Community:
 This community share a physical space and
resident in contact.
Eg :River side community.
 They live with in a boundary.
Community of interest
 The group of formed together with their own
interest to achieve some goal in the society.
 Member of this community choose their
association on their own interest.
Eg. 1.Member Lions club
2.Member of anti dowry association.
Virtual Community :
 A virtual community is a social network of individuals
who interact through specific social media.
 Potentially crossing geographical and political
boundaries.
 To achieve some goal.
Elements of community
 Group of people.
 Definite locality.
 Community sentiment.
 Naturality.
 Permanency.
 Similarity.
 Wider ends.
 Total organized social life .

journals:
A periodicals or magazine,
especially one published for a
special group, learned society,
or profession.
Types of journals
 Personal journals: records all personal incidents. It
also explains the real incidents happens in
organization.
 Three part journal: the purpose is to turn your
service experiences into substantive learning.
 Dialogue journals: an on going written journal or
interaction between two people to exchange
experiences, ideas or reflections.
 Double entry journals: it consists of records and their
responses. It will be on both sides. It gives the opportunity
of students to get their thoughts and actively involved with
material they need.
 Highlighted journals: the journal in which important
sections, records are highlighted.
 Key phrase journals: to discuss the particular journal’s
key phrase.
7 C’s and their importance
 Consciousness of self : it clearly defines
the self awareness and self confidence of an
individual.
 Congruence: harmony of an individual
person.
 Commitment: dedication towards the work
to be undertaken.
 Collaborations: co operation with others
to complete the objective
Common purpose: sharing of aims
and goals to be achieved.
Civility: the courtesy and behavior to
be followed in leadership.
Citizenship: building the civic and
social responsibility among the
community.
