HOD of Aeronautical Department
Global Academy of Technology
Dear Readers,
"Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam once said, 'Dreams are not what you see in your sleep, dreams are things which
do not let you sleep.' At Aero Magazine, we believe in showcasing the dreams of our students and
encouraging them to work towards achieving those dreams. As Chief Editor of Aero Magazine, it is my
pleasure to present to you the very first issue of our magazine- “AeroMag”. In this edition, we are excited
to feature a diverse range of articles starting from science, technology, literature and art from the
students and fraternity of Department of Aeronautical Engineering, Global Academy of Technology.
The field of Aeronautical Engineering is constantly evolving, and we at AeroMag strive to bring you the
latest developments and insights from Aviation industry to Academia. We are introducing our
department forum “VIMAAN” through this issue which has three sub classes: Skylark, Dronevis and
Excelsior where students get a platform to build and fly RC controlled aircraft, drone and to work on
space vehicles and satellites respectively. In this issue, we are publishing all the events conducted in the
department for student’s growth and their knowledge enhancement. This issue also records our faculties
and student’s achievements in tenure of GAT towards research, publication, their interest in cutting edge
technologies and its applications in aviation industry, literature, art and sports. We also have the
privilege of featuring interviews with distinguished professionals in the field, who share their
experiences and thoughts on the current state and future of Aeronautical engineering.
With the collective efforts of the entire editorial board, we hope to successfully not only encourage
research and technology, but establish a comprehensive platform on which our student’s findings can
be displayed. I am sure we still have a long way to reach the mark, but all good things come to those who
wait and those who persevere through adversity. At one point in time this Journal was barely an Idea,
and before long it has now materialized into a working unit.
It’s a delight to express my sincere gratitude to our esteemed Chairman Sri. D K Shivakumar for his great
visionary and blessings. I extend my gratitude to Sri. S Lepaksha, Trustee secretary, NEF and Sri.
Venkatappa, Additional trustee secretary, NEF for their invaluable support and opportunity. This wouldn't
be possible without the upright motivation, assistance and precious support of our Principal Dr. N
Ranapratap Reddy. I would also like to acknowledge the backing of Dr. Bino Prince Raja D, HoD-AE and
chief advisor of the magazine, for his relentless encouragement and utmost support in this endeavor.
But of course, the most important roles belong to the contributors and editors of today and tomorrow to
keep this journal growing and flourishing, for there is no journal without you. We hope that the content in
this edition will inform and inspire you to pursue your own dreams, no matter how big or small. So read
on, and let the power of dreams take flight!".

He stated a few cases where a fixed wing
could stay still in air and second case was
related to space where Rocket releases
satellite to a lower orbit and lands back on
the launching site exactly the way it was
expected in 2015 by Blue Origin. These
cases show how sophisticated and
seamless the control system is
programmed, so with increasing

Innovation is at the heart of engineering,
and our students are always seeking
opportunities to showcase their creativity
and talent. Recently, fifth-semester
student Syed Mujahid had the
opportunity to showcase his biomimetic
Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV)
design at the Designia competition,
conducted by Petrichor'23 at IIT Palakkad.
Syed's UUV design is inspired by nature,
The design is not only visually striking but
also functional, providing stability and
maneuverability in underwater
environments.
To create his UUV design, Syed used
Fusion 360, a powerful 3D design
software that allowed him to bring his
biomimetic concept to life. He used the
software's advanced modeling tools to
create a detailed and accurate model of
the UUV, including its intricate wing
design and propulsion system.
At the Designia competition, Syed's UUV
design received recognition for its
innovative concept and impressive
execution. His design was praised for its
seamless integration of bio-mimicry and
technology, as well as its potential for
real-world applications in underwater
exploration and research.
We are proud of Syed's achievement and
his dedication to innovative design. His
participation in the Designia competition
is a testament to our department's
commitment to fostering creativity and
excellence in our students. We look
forward to seeing how Syed's talents and
skills will continue to contribute to the
field of engineering.

This visual art shows the view of climate change
in between two environments how suppose to
be and now how it is ..
So i came with message through this picture
which describes two climates generally climate
change refers to alteration of Earth's climate
from years to years.
Here the left side part refers the to reduce
greenhouse emissions to preserve earth by ♻️ for
future sustainability,which also shows to
conserve the energy ,save atmosphere and
nature.
Here right side view is based on Earth disaster
after years and present .The consequences of
climate change already felt around the world
due to release of most harmful gases , harmful
radiations from sun and from greenhouse
emissions gases which leads to ozone layers
which makes way towards destroy of living
organisms including human beings.After
decades we get to know what to do but at the
time most of the valuable things in the earth
going to be evolved .
Since this art to message you all about ♻️ please
save the Earth and conserve energy for future
sustainability and use biodegradable things in
possible ways .

What Inspires me
“You were born with wings. Don’t crawl. Learn to use
them to fly and FLY” said the Missile Man of India, Dr.
APJ Abdul Kalam. To be able to fly and to be able to
build an aircraft is two different things but it is
conjoined by the mutual love for the flying machine, an
AIRCRAFT.
Learning all about an Aircraft has indeed been an
overwhelming journey so far but what has kept us on
our feet is the mind-blowing innovations in the
Aeronautics and Aerospace Sector. Everyday, millions
of people around the world are working towards the
advancement and innovation in the Aeronautical
Sector. Being able to learn about their work and
contribution has always been a source of motivation
and inspiration for us to come up with new ideas
which would help chisel the industry. It’s been a
century since Aviation started, right from Wright Flyer
in 1903 till date, almost 120 years of Aviation stands as a
testimonial to the engineering advancement and the
great minds behind it, thus ultimately following what
Dr. Kalam said.

We came here hiding
dreams behind the smile,
But, we are leaving, hiding
tears behind the same smile.
We came here with a
bunch of queries
But, we are living with a
bunch of memories.
We came here and shifted
to friends from strangers,
But, we are leaving and shifting
again from friends to strangers
We came here and wanted marks in exam
which will eventually fade away
But, we are leaving with marks/footprints
of memories which will never fade away.
We came here and wanted to express everything
we felt about the people we care,
But, we are leaving by hiding everything
we felt because, we couldn't dare.
We came here saying we will live
without creating new bonds,
But, we are leaving and now we
can't live without those bonds.

  • 27. -- by Vinutha This visual art shows the view of climate change in between two environments how suppose to be and now how it is .. So i came with message through this picture which describes two climates generally climate change refers to alteration of Earth's climate from years to years. Here the left side part refers the to reduce greenhouse emissions to preserve earth by ♻️ for future sustainability, which also shows to conserve the energy ,save atmosphere and nature. Here right side view is based on Earth disaster after years and present .The consequences of climate change already felt around the world due to release of most harmful gases , harmful radiations from sun and from greenhouse emissions gases which leads to ozone layers which makes way towards destroy of living organisms including human beings. After decades we get to know what to do but at the time most of the valuable things in the earth going to be evolved . Since this art to message you all about ♻️ please save the Earth and conserve energy for future sustainability and use biodegradable things in possible ways . Climate Change --Prathyusha What Inspires me “You were born with wings. Don’t crawl. Learn to use them to fly and FLY” said the Missile Man of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. To be able to fly and to be able to build an aircraft is two different things but it is conjoined by the mutual love for the flying machine, an AIRCRAFT. Learning all about an Aircraft has indeed been an overwhelming journey so far but what has kept us on our feet is the mind-blowing innovations in the Aeronautics and Aerospace Sector. Everyday, millions of people around the world are working towards the advancement and innovation in the Aeronautical Sector. Being able to learn about their work and contribution has always been a source of motivation and inspiration for us to come up with new ideas which would help chisel the industry. It’s been a century since Aviation started, right from Wright Flyer in 1903 till date, almost 120 years of Aviation stands as a testimonial to the engineering advancement and the great minds behind it, thus ultimately following what Dr. Kalam said. -- by Ananya -- by Deepashree -- by Nandita -- by Ananya Leading U.S. defense companies participating in Aero India 2023 with exhibits in the USA Partnership Pavilion include Aero Metals Alliance, Astronautics Corporation of America, Boeing, GE Aerospace, General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc, Hi- Tech Import Export Corporation, Jonal Laboratories, Inc.
