As Assistant Manager of Access Services for the Horn Library of Babson College, I am writing this letter
to strongly recommend Sarah during your selection process. I supervised Sarah, and during her years of
work-study at the library she rose to the highest possible position, proving herself an enthusiastic and
professional leader.
Sarah was unmatched when dealing with meticulous, detail-oriented work. Tasks like shelving or shelf-
reading were accomplished with speed and accuracy. Sarah quickly became a go-to for more
complicated and challenging projects.
However, it was Sarah’s customer service savvy, passionate attitude, and sociable leadership skills that
stood her out from her peers. Sarah always went above and beyond to make sure patrons at the library
got the help they needed. Her flexibility and capacity for creative problem solving shined even at our
busiest, most challenging times.
Once she stepped into her role as student supervisor, Sarah encouraged and inspired this passion for
high quality performance in all the information assistants. Her communication was always clear with
her peers and superiors. She was patient in her listening, and direct & polite in her responses. As an
efficient collaborator, she was attentive to the needs of all she worked with. However, she was never
hesitant if a situation required an assertive nature.
Sarah leaves us after spending nearly 3 years in our employ. If I caution one thing only, it would be to
select Sarah as an asset to your organization before someone else does! I enthusiastically endorse her,
