I am writing in support of Alisa Shargorosky, who worked for my firm for six months,
first as an intern from January 7 to May 15, 2014, and then on a consulting/research
assignment through June 2014. Ms. Shargorosky was a welcome addition to my staff,
responsible, professional, and skillful in the project work she performed. Given the
resources, I would retain her on my staff.
I first met Ms. Shargorosky in December 2012, a year and a half before she interned for
me. The occasion was an appointment set after an unsolicited email from her regarding
my work. I was immediately impressed at the sophistication of her questions, and the
intellectual rigor of every discussion we have had since then.
Alisa is passionate when it comes to matters of the environment, and an asset in problem
solving sessions. I am impressed in our discussions that she avoids broad platitudes in
favor of strategies to resolve issues. In my experience, this is an essential skill for a good
planner and the practice of capable problem solvers.
Niche Recycling is a consulting firm; most of our clients present issues that require
unique solutions. On staff as an intern, Alisa was fully engaged in several projects of this
nature, discussing possible solutions, designing and conducting research, and composing
memos, reports, and presentations highlighting the results. In this process, I found her to
be a capable researcher, and her participation to be appropriately skeptical and fearlessly
inquisitive.
I look forward to a continuing relationship with Alisa as a colleague and recommend her
