Dear Nurse Manager,
I am writing this letter to give my recommendation for Sarah Russell. I was Sarah’s clinical
instructor during the spring semester 2016 but have also had the pleasure of working with Sarah
during her coursework in the nursing program. In both the clinical and classroom setting, Sarah
was a conscientious student and strives for the utmost quality outcomes with each of her endeavors.
At the time when Sarah was my student in the clinical setting, she possessed critical thinking
abilities, was kind, temperate, diligent and proficient while providing patient care. Sarah was a
leader on the floor and a constructive influence in the clinical group as a result of her sense of
responsibility, accountability, and professionalism. She asked thoughtful questions and used the
information to improve her practice and the quality of care for her patients. Sarah is a student who
sees challenges as learning opportunities and responds with optimism and an appreciative regard.
Without question, she demonstrates nursing potential and was a pleasure for myself and her peers
to work alongside.
For a second time, I recommend Sarah Russell and hope you will consider her as a member of
your nursing team. If you seek further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Respectfully,
Tara Oxley
