I first became acquainted with Karla Cerrillo two years ago while she was completing her studies at the
University of Phoenix. As an instructor and facilitator of the University’s Math and Statistics Lab, I had
the opportunity to work with her both individually as well as within a small group classroom
environment. From the outset, she demonstrated a professional and committed attitude toward her work
and continues to deliver a quality performance. It is a pleasure to evaluate her work because it integrates
the kind of effort and excellence that is distinctive of an exceptional student.
As I have come to know Karla, I have grown appreciative of her professionalism and pleasant personality.
She is easy going and trustworthy. She is tactful and thoughtful in every situation. Karla has excellent
communication skills (and quite a lovely speaking voice, if I might add). Karla also has very good
analytical skills which enables her to draw rational inferences and grasp logical concepts quickly.
Karla assumes personal responsibility for her educational and professional development. She has a high
standard of performance and takes initiative in seizing the opportunity to enhance and share her level of
knowledge with others. This is visibly evident during the classroom sessions where her insights and
efforts contribute greatly to group discussions and to the enlightenment of other participants. She
demonstrates the ability to work effectively, both independently and collaboratively.
A very poised and profession individual, Karla is respectful, courteous, and observant. During busy class
times, she readily offers her assistance which ranges from distributing handouts to making copies of
attendance rosters. She graciously does this without being asked. What a tremendous help it is for me!
I believe that Karla has the character, competence, discipline, and dedication, to bring any project in
which she participates to its successful completion. I am confident that Karla Cerrillo would be an asset
