3. HEPATITIS-B RAPID CARD TEST
The Hepatitis-B test uses for
the qualitative detection of
HBsAg in serum or plasma.
4. PROCEDURE :
Remove the testing device from the foil pouch by
tearing at the ‘notch’ and place it on a levelled
surface .
Holding the sample dropper vertically, add 2
drops of the specimen into the sample well
marked ‘S’ .
Read results within 20 minutes .
6. HCV RAPID CARD TEST
HCV Rapid Card test is
a rapid test to
qualitatively detect the
presence of antibody
to HCV in a human
serum or plasma.
7. PROCEDURE :
Remove the test cassette from the sealed pouch & Place the test
cassette on a clean and level surface.
Hold the dropper vertically and transfer 1 drop of serum or plasma
(25 μL) to the specimen well of the test cassette .
then add 2 drops of buffer (80 μL) and start the timer. Avoid
trapping air bubbles in the specimen well.
Wait for the colored line(s) to appear. The test result should be read
at 10 minutes. Do not interpret the result after 20 minutes.
9. Malaria Pf/Pv Ag Rapid Test
The Malaria Pf/Pv Ag Rapid Test
is used for the detection of
Plasmodium falciparum(Pf) &
vivax(Pv) antigen in human blood
specimen.
10. Procedure :
open the pouch at the notch and remove device. Place the test
device on a clean, flat surface.
Add 5 μL of blood specimen into the sample well making sure that
there are no air bubbles.
Then add 2 drops (about 50-100 μL) of lysis Buffer immediately into
the buffer well.
Set up timer and result can be read at 30 minutes. It may take
more than 20 minutes to have the background become clearer.
13. RHELAX-SLE TEST FOR ANTI-DNP
RHELAX-SLE is a latex
agglutination slide test for
Determination of anti-DNP
antibodies associated
with Systemic Lupus
Erythematosis
14. PROCEDURE :
Place one drop (30 μL) of sample onto one of the reaction circles
of the slide using pipette.
Place one drop of positive & negative control onto separate
reaction circles of the slide .
Add 1 drop of SLE-Latex Reagent (40 μL) to each sample and
control taken on the slide .
Mix with separate mixing sticks, spreading the mixture uniformly
over the entire reaction circle .
Immediately start a stopwatch for three minutes .Observe under a
suitable light source for any degree of agglutination .
15. RESULTS :
Agglutination is a
positive test result and
indicates presence of Anti-
DNP in the test specimen
No agglutination is
negative test result and
indicates absence of Anti-
DNP in the test specimen
