2. 10 Rules:
1. I would expect to see picturesque settings during my opening.
2. I would expect to see colours such as red, pink and white used to connote love and
romance.
3. I would expect to see the director, producer and cast members appear in the titles.
4. I would expect to hear non diegetic, melodic music in the opening of my film.
5. I would expect to see a young female protagonist to appeal to my target audience.
6. I would expect to see elements of a love story showing to show the audience that it is a
romance film.
7. I would expect to see a traditional, classic romance story to appeal to my target
audience.
8. I would expect to see authentic 1940s costume because of the time period in my film.
9. I would expect to see long shots to establish my setting and location during my
opening.
10. I would expect to see authentic hair and makeup on my characters during my opening.
