2. Why?
I did a lot of experiments mainly to do with the opening scenes or
thumbnail / logos I will be making for this project. I made a lot of
different option so that I have a bawd rang to choose from when it gets
to it and I have a clear idea of what I'm doing. This is good to do before
any project as it gives you a better idea of what your project will look
like or could look like. With a better idea of that then it allows the
project to look a lot better and professional as you see the other ones
on what it could look like and if you choose the best fitting one then
you will get best most fitting one.
5. Best/ favourites and why?
I like this piece as it is easy to read so people
know what it says it is in a bubble style with a
blurred scribble fill. This gives it a bright look
that I really like it looks creative. Things I don’t
like it is big and fills all the space so it would be
hard to fit into my project especially if I do
graffiti as well in the same style. I also feel like it
looks a bit childish and that would not be
pushing towards the target market I am aiming
for. Also it does look a bit unfinished as I left
some white on the letters and I don’t know if
that helps the look or makes it looks unfinished.
I still feel like its one of the top 3.
3rd
2nd
1st
I put this one in my top 3 as it is very colourful
and eye catchy which is good for what I want
to achieve. It has a nice background another
scribble background with a blur over to give a
focus on the word. The fill I did I also like as it
has a dark blue outline with bright blue and
yellow to make it stand out more and be nice
to look at. I also gave it a bright shadow/ 3d
look however I didn’t outline it which would
have helped the final look of it. There is a big
downside why I wouldn’t choose to use this
one is that I is a semi wild style style making it
hard to read. This wouldn’t be a problem if it
was targeted towards writers but its not, I may
still consider it though as there will be the title
above it so then it will help people that don’t
look at graffiti be able to read it this will maybe
impress people and make them more likely to
watch it.
This is my favourite and the most likely one to use as
it is simple to read eye catchy with the bright blur
camo patten and white outline. It also incorporates
the bubble look from 3rd one but also a few extra
parts to give it a more graffiti look to it. It doesn’t
really have a flow though and it doesn’t have a
background either two things that could make it
better.
++ this task has given me a good overlook at all
my work and from this I am going to
incorporate all the looks that I like into one and
theoretically this should be the best one see
what I create on the next page.
6. Final Design.
This is the design I think I will use as I incorporated a lot of the different styles and took all my favourite parts
and put them all together into one bit piece. I used the colour camo fill with a bright shadow to make it eye
catchy then I chose to do a dark purple background as purple always looks nice as a backdrop. I then added a
lighter purple ripple effect that just gave it a nicer back ground than just a single colour. I then included a “S” as
I will need to do the word styles in my final piece. I finally added a glow that in my opinion just makes and
piece look better. I also added a line under it even though I don’t think I did on any other pieces but this one
and I really like the look even though I think it should have been the same colour as the piece and outlined the
shadow something I said I would in the evaluation of the other pieces. Overall I really like this piece and think it
was a good idea to look over all my other pieces and see what would happen if I combined them all and the
outcome was surprisingly good, I didn’t really know what to expect when I started. One thing I could improve
for my actual piece is add the word ‘graffiti’ in a tag style above and do the ‘S’ as part of the piece instead on
separate at the end but I really do like this final piece.
