- 2. Mr. Ravi Saxena has been appointed as the Information Manager. An employee that quit the job is suspected to leak the information. Ms. Sashi has been managing the Information Manually for the last 2 years. Ravi implemented a new system. The new system was criticised for its effectiveness in gathering data and lenghty protocols.
- 3. This case revolves around miscommunication, mismanagement and lack of proper implementation and bureaucratic protocols that are heavily criticised by other departments
- 4. No root cause analysis was done, for suspected behaviour. Management has an Autocratic style of management. Lack of effective and clear communication channels.
- 5. Lack of effective communication • Sashi even though well versed with the system and was responsible for it directly was not taken in the loop for this suspected data leak. Improper MeasuresTaken • Implementation of the new system was improper and unplanned that caused discord which led to complaints in the entire process.
- 6. First the employees should have been informed about the current scenario to avoid distrust and conflicts. The employee mindset is fairly rigid towards the manual system and steps should have been taken to change that.
- 7. Privacy issue could have been solved by issuing and maintaining digital identity. Implementation of the computerised system parallel to the manual system. Management should have been consultative on the issue with Ms.Sashi regarding the implementation of a new system.
- 8. Involvement of Sashi would have given a better understanding of the situation. Thorough study should have been done. Communication acts as an effective flow of work If sashi would have solved the problem of the data leak then there would be no need to hire an external employee, which would save time and cost of the company.
