Strokes of EXPRESSION & Moods
1. Zentangle / Doodle Art
It’s wonderful to see kids creating their own imaginative world. This Activity was to let the students feel
relaxed because the concept was just for play. This puts the kids in a state of relaxed focus which is
extremely beneficial for idea creation.
This activity was based on Doodle Art or Zentangle Art. Historically the word “Doodle” appeared in 17th
century and meant “fool” so doodling become a term to describe mindless scribbles loose and dreamy
cartoons or other useless pictures we would draw when we are not trying too hard. This is an uninhibited
form of self-expression. Also known as Zentangles,
Here I put the kids in a situation imagine that you all are butterflies, and each will close their eyes and draw
the way of a butterfly on whole entire sheet till I count for 10 seconds. Then eyes a wonderful pattern was
there in which the kids filled the colours. They were free to use any colour into the art work the results
were very surprising amazing and wonderful the kids have created a modern piece of Art.

4. Complete the Picture Activity
This activity was based on same concept as of Doodle Art. A sheet was given to each student. Then a piece
of torn florescent paper in any random shape was pasted in the middle of the sheet. Now I asked the kids to
draw and complete the shape to any of their imagination.
Amazing results were there. Each of the student has completed the torn papers by drawing a king/ a boy/
Crocodile, girl/ butterfly/ bird/ bat/ volcano and many more.
This activity made the students to think and draw their creative piece of art.
