DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES HELD
As Operations Shift Supervisor
 Learn and completely understand all units assigned to my responsibility
 Work with operations Team to implement strategic decisions
 Take, Give and Execute orders within the team.
 Maintain good relationship with units of contact.
 Plan and supervise start up, shut down, normal operations.
 Ensure HSE systems implemented before starting a particular task
 Creating SAP notifications for maintenance work and work as maintenance coordinator
 Issuing, Monitoring and closing of all types of work permit (PTW)
 Thorough monitoring of process parameters and quality control analysis to achieve correct
product specifications complying with company HSE policies
 Utilities Production & Management (HP/LP steam Generation & 44 KV electrical
substation for the area
 Involving and supporting HSE and quality management policies and programs, making
procedures including documentation.
 To make daily/weekly/monthly job and operational progress reports.
 Conducting TBT, safety walk through, safety meetings, Safety Audit, Mock drill etc.
 On job training for fresh operators and apprentices
 Do Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) for critical work as per safety rules.
 To participate daily operation meeting and assist section head.
 Report any unsafe conditions, incidents as said in Management system documentation,
manual, safety manual and other related documents.
 Effective communication with Field operators/ panel operators/other units.
 Ensure chemical inventory periodically and monitor and control injection of chemicals
 Liaison with other units of operation.
 Daily inspection of assigned process plant and assess maintenance requirement.
 Sending shift report through OMPRO and MS outlook.
 Troubleshoot the process &equipment problems and rectifying the adverse conditions
 Yearly assessment and evaluation for Console and Field operators.
 Sending attendance and managing leaves for Operators.
 Evaluate training needs for Operators and schedule with Training department.
 Work with Maintenance planner to procure deficiency items for the area.
In Commissioning/Start-Up
 Supervise, plan and execute activities like, Punch list preparation, hydro test, water
flushing, air blowing, steam blowing, N2 inertizing, Leak test, Mechanical run test of
compressors, pumps and other equipment, Catalyst loading, refractory dry out during
commissioning/pre commissioning and start up.
 Plan, Prioritise and Delegate tasks and supervise area operators, commissioning
supervisors and operators from Contractors to ensure tasks are done on stipulated time.
 Ensure all activities carried out with full safety precautions, conducting TBT, safety walk
through, participate in safety meetings, Mock drill etc.

 Daily inspection of units for abnormalities and rectify after reporting to supervisor
 Log sheet maintaining and documentation
 Ensure maximum production as per QHSE policy of the company.
 Start-up/Shut down/Emergency response.
 Issue, Monitor and Close Work Permits without violation.
 Attend daily meeting with Shift supervisor and supervise field operators
