2. INTRODUCTION
Now-a-days electric energy is lot in each and every one’s mind.
• A large amount of energy is wasted by the vehicles on the speed
breakers through friction, every time it passes over it.
• Energy can be produced by using the vehicle weight and speed.
• We design a smart speed breaker that can pass vehicles coming from
both sides and yet generate energy from it.
3. OBJECTIVE
• The main objective of the project is to utilise the energy from vehicles
while they pass on the speed breaker
• This process is very economical and easy to install We design a smart
speed breaker that can pass vehicles coming from both sides and yet
generate energy from it.
• The cost of electricity generation and storage per mega watt from
speed-breakers will be nearly Rs 1 crore

6. METHODOLOGY
• The reciprocating motion of the speed breaker is converted into
rotary motion using the rack and pinion arrangement.
• The system makes use of the speed breaker press and then uses a
rack and pinion arrangement to press down and run generator motor
thus generating energy.
7. • The spring mechanism is the used to drive the speed breaker back into original
position.
• It converts rotary motion into linear motion, but sometimes we use them to
change linear motion into rotary motion.
• Inverter convert DC voltage to AC voltage and step up transformer

10. DISADVANTAGES
• The major disadvantage of this project is while the dc motor is
rotating in clockwise direction, it produces both positive and negative
voltages at the terminals connected to led vice versa for anti
clockwise direction
• To overcome this disadvantage we have placed a bridge rectifier.
11. CONCLUSION
In the coming days, as demand of electricity is increasing every
moment, it will prove a great boon to the world, since it will save a lot of electricity
of power plants which are wasted in illuminating the street light. Future aim of
this research is to develop our country by enriching it in utilizing its sources in
more useful manner. Any country can only develop when it uses power supply
frequently and not by getting breakdown in middle course of time. Now times
comes when these types of innovative ideas should be brought into practice.
