4. Initially I planned to have my model from my music magazine front cover, to feature on my
double page spread however I wanted to display an array of models for a more conventional
outcome. As by having another model on my double page spread, this would produce a stylish
double page spread as well as would appearing more professional. Below is other images I took
that I intended to use on my double page spread.

5. CHOSEN IMAGES
The first image is what I chose for my front
cover, the reason for this choice is because
the image looks professional something that I
think is conventional for a magazine of the
Rnb & Hip Hop genre. Mis en scene is
prominent as the costume ties in with the
outstanding magazine colour scheme of
black, white & red. Also the gold on her
jacket buckle & Gold earrings indicate wealth,
from my research I know that the Hip Hop
industry thrive of materialistic things such as
jewellery, cars & designer clothes. This image
embodies power & attitude both of which are
apparent in Rnb & Hip Hop magazines. Her
body language highlights this attitude. The
mid shot is very effective and therefor is
suitable for my Rnb & Hip hop magazine.

spread, The fur indicates social
status as well as her eye contact
with the lens creates an
immediate direct address. The
image also highlights her sex
appeal and therefor is suitable for
my genre of Rnb & Hip hop
The black & white effect appears
classic & simple, not deducting
too much attention from the
body cop text which will be an
interview with the artist.
I chose this image to feature in my
music magazine contents page. The
set of red and white graffiti is very
suitable for the Hip Hop genre. It was
important to include a male in my
photos to highlight the fact that
Dynamite magazine is suitable for
both male & female readers. His attire
is very urban the snapback hat is
currently on trend and therefore
appropriate. Although the media
represents black males in a negative
light, this image is appropriate due to
the genre. Rnb (rhythm and blues) It
is known that this genre is of
African/American decent and
therefor is most important,
highlighting external knowledge on
my genre.
