2. Most thriller title sequence lack colour, generally using
black, white and reds or desaturated colours. The non-
diegetic music playing in the back ground is used to create
tension and mystery. The most important directors and
actors usually displayed first before the actual title. The
title sequence generally shows a sequence of events to
allow an audience to establish a brief idea of the plot. An
example of this is ‘seven’ with the montage building up
with the excoriating incidental music.
