Reporting to the Southern Alberta General District Manager and taking direction from the National EHS Director of Tyco.
Responsible for the development, implementation, organization, tracking and auditing of the Calgary &
Lethbridge EHS Program. Southern Alberta operations include manufacturing, distribution, sales, marketing,
and field installation for 150 – 170 employees.
Responsible for the implementation and coordination of Union & Non-Union Health & Safety Town hall
meetings, Guiding the Calgary & Lethbridge Senior Management Team in specific EH&S training and
legislation. Program development for all new SimplexGrinnell employees through the On-Boarding Program,
Tracking of all Fleet Vehicles. Specific duties:
 Development and implementation of training programs for all levels of employees, including
management, across multiple divisions.
 Established quarterly EH&S manager meetings and sprinkler foreman safety meetings to update
and implement upcoming changes, needs and solutions for the company, while providing a
forum for improvement of safety reporting and standards.
 Conduct onsite inspections of work sites to ensure safety standards are being met and to assess
hazards and risks on a site specific basis. Development of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for General
Contractors and Customers.
