● Socrative is a great, interactive application that can be used for multiple things. The teachers create a
quiz and a code is formed and the students place the code into their device.
● The teacher can set the quiz to go as either teacher paced or student paced and can decide if the
students see the correct answer or not.

● Quizizz is a great app that teachers can use for activities and quizzes.
● The teacher can choose from thousands of pre-made quizizz’s or make their own that align to the
standards being covered.
● There are three modes that the teacher can set the quizizz activity to, it can be student paced,

This app is a digital library for kids of
grades K-5. There are over 40,000 e-
books, educational videos, and reading
quizzes. This app has no ads or in-app
purchases, making it very kid-friendly.
There are audiobooks available. epic!
allows for differentiation because
students can read on different levels.
This app is easy to navigate and it is
user-friendly.
6. Spelling City
Spelling City is a vocabulary practice
app that features 35 games and tests.
There are pre-made lists available for K-
12 vocabulary. Teachers can assign
students tasks, such as spelling tests.
This app records student progress and
scores. Students can press a button to
hear the word and hear it used in a
sentence. Teachers can adjust an
individual student’s list to meet their
needs.
7. Canva
Canva is a design app where students can
create flyers, posters, collages,
presentations, blog graphics, brochures,
infographics, book covers, and more. This
app motivates students because they can
create presentations in a fun, engaging way
that incorporates technology. This is a great
way to assess student knowledge and it is
an alternative to essays and other pen and
paper assessments. There is a Team Stream
feature where students can collaborate.
8. The Homework App
The Homework App is very helpful for
students who want to stay organized
and see all of their tasks and
assignments. You can add all of your
classes, make each class have its own
color, and see assignments arranged by
due date and colored to tell you what
class it if for. After you complete the
assignment, you can go to the
assignment and mark it as completed.
9. Kahn Academy
Khan Academy has free courses for
every mathematics subject a high
school and even college student could
want. The courses are laid out in an
extremely professional manner, with
progressions just like they were laid out
by a college professor. You can go into
certain courses and subjects and just
work on certain areas or study and
entire course or subject.
10. Photomath
Photomath allows students to get step
by step help with math problems. The
app works by taking a picture of the
problem or student's work. After taking
the picture, the app gives students step
by step solutions to help them learn
how to properly solve their problems.
11. Sololearn
Sololearn is set up to help students
learn how to use several different
computer and web programming
languages. There is a course for several
different languages with several
modules in each language set up to
help you learn how to code using that
language. It is entirely free to use.
