them. This app can be used for every class the teacher
teaches, not just one. The privacy allows graded
feedback and personal comments.
3. Vivi
This app is a reinvented way for students to all interact with and
see the material the teacher is presenting. It provides a more
personal experience and allows for more engagement options
besides raising a hand and providing a verbal answer. The
features of the app are helpful for student engagement, along
with less confusion due to each student being able to see and be
walked through the lesson by the teacher. This eliminates
problems with students being seated too far back in the class to
see a board corrctly, or a student who sits behind a taller student,
which obscures their view. The app can be used to collaborate,
giving students the ability to practice social/communication
skills while learning the lesson.
4. Classdojo
In short, it is a classroom behavior management reward
system. Students receive +1 or-1 behavior points but unlike
other behavior management systems that focus on
nondescript gold stars, ClassDojo allows the emphasis to be
based on positive feedback with teachers being able to create
their own targeted behaviors. It has many customization
options for students and teachers, such as selecting an avatar,
themes, and what specific reward to bestow upon the
student(s). This is also a great way to keep a record of
student behavior without the need of an exhaustive
spreadsheet, document, filing system, etc.
5. Seesaw
This app allows the students to keep their parents
in the loop of what's going on at school, it allows
communication between all parties, streamlining
answering questions and even negating potential
parent-teacher conferences. The app gives students
a voice and allows them to learn how to collect and
present their work in a portfolio. This also holds
students accountable of their own grades.
6. Freckle
There's videos and lessons from YouTube, Khan
Academy and LearnZillion. There a large amount
of customizable, printable worksheets in many
subject areas catered towards a younger audience.
The lessons can be adjusted to match the students'
levels. The app is also engaging with tokens that
can be collected by students to earn rewards.
7. Edulastic
This app's services identify gaps, help students
learn, and measure growth all in one easy system,
in the classroom and at home. It syncs with
Google classroom, and there's a wide variety of
tools and options to use for teachers to efficiently
present their lessons and expectations. The app is
intuitive and motivating for students.
8. Plickers
Teachers set up their assessments on the Plickers website and
create classes with the names of their student, they use the
Plicker app on their phone to control the live quiz. Each
student is given a pre-printed card, then the quiz is projected
on to the screen in the class. The students then hold up their
“Plicker” and the teacher then scans the class with the
camera tool on the app.The app then records the student’s
responses and collates the scores on the projected screen.
This is accessable for every student and the formative
assessment results are quick.

This app essentially makes video presentations
appeal to an educational approach without needing
to switch mediums. The app allows voice over,
quizzes, and feedback. The videos can be cut,
paused, self-paced, and much more. The versatility
makes real world connections and observations
engaging, informative, and easy.
10. Kahoot
Kahoot allows for teachers to assess students'
progress and understanding quicky while keeping
the students entertained. The app is easy to use,
engaging, and customizable to accommodate
curriculum standards.
11. Flipgrid
Flipgrid gives students control to post their
understanding and exploration of learning. The
app is easy to use and engaging to students since it
mimics social media styled formatting. The teacher
can assess the students' understanding easily by
watching the created videos to see if the criteria
they're looking for is met.
