7. An overview of the Website
The website supplies a collection of more than
3,400 video tutorials stored on YouTube covering a
huge number of areas like mathematics, healthcare
and medicine, physics, chemistry, biology,
economics, cosmology, history and computer
science.
All of them are prepared by Salman Khan himself.

 A student can work out problems after
watching a video. Each problem is randomly
generated, so one never runs out of practice
material.
 If a student needs a hint, every single problem
can be broken down, step-by-step, with one
click.
 Learning through trial and errors.

In 2009, the Khan Academy received the
Microsoft Tech Award for education.
Khan Academy has eclipsed MIT's Open
Courseware (OCW) in terms of videos viewed.
Its YouTube channel has over 175 million total
views, compared to MIT's 40 million.
In April 2012, Salman Khan was listed among
the Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People
for 2012.
