2. Stimulate immune system to produce antibodies.
Increase profitability in a sheep and goat farm.
PURPOSE
Live vaccine: Must be stored at 2 to 40C.
Attenuated vaccine: Must be stored at 2 to 40C.
Killed vaccine: Can be stored at room temperature.
TYPE OF VACCINATION
3. Do not vaccinate, if animal is in stress (Disease, Feed
scarcity, water scarcity).
Deworming – 2 weeks prior.
Follow the schedule strictly.
Reconstituted vaccine – Use with in 2 to 3 hours.
Balance or empty vials – Bury in soil.
Use sterile equipment (Injections)
CARE DURING VACCINATION
4. Interval between vaccinations – 1 to 2 weeks.
Vaccination record – Update.
Cold chain maintenance.
Route and dosage – Manufacturers details.
Do not vaccinate advanced pregnant animal.
Extra nutrients – After vaccination.
5. 4 months and above 6 months
