This document outlines 5 MATLAB programming exercises for a speech processing course: 1) Classifying voiced and unvoiced speech segments using time-domain measures, 2) Calculating Mel-frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCC) for a speech signal, 3) Implementing the ITU-T G.722 speech encoder, 4) Implementing Wiener filters for noise reduction, and 5) Designing a speech emotion recognition system using discrete cosine transform (DCT) and wavelet packet transform (WPT).
