Job Description & Key Responsibilities while in Quality (Assembly & Testing):
Testing of gear boxes as per API and AGMA standards.
Analysis of gear box retesting data’s.
Checking of gear box parameters like blue contact, bearing clearances, backlash, thrust clearances.
Inspection of pinion and gear shafts for dynamic balancing.
Preliminary inspection of retro gear boxes.
Measuring the critical dimensions of gear boxes.
Co-coordinating with marketing and planning team to achieve a testing plan and dispatch of the gear
boxes.
Communicating with customers while testing and also clears customer doubts regarding to testing.
Co-coordinating with shift in-charges regards to gear box assembly and also for to achieve testing
plan.
Failure analysis for retro gear boxes.
Familiar on software ADRE 208 & 408 for vibrations (Rotor dynamics).

Development of Standard procedure to create shaft drawings (DB)
Development of flow calculation for gear boxes by creating spread sheet (DB)
Development of selection procedure of barring gear unit to steam turbine application (DB)

considerations & arrangement of roller bearings. Mounting & dismounting provisions for bearings
