This is not a serious hardened runner’s session; it will begin as a social jog and
progress accordingly dependant on the group dynamics. We will start at the Connect
Clinic in Gosforth and head to the Town Moor. Open to all abilities over the age of
16, we just ask that you are capable of running 5km continuously.
Free to participate (you will be required to sign a risk assessment form
outlining your contact details before we start.)

Phil Smith – Sport and Exercise Therapist
Phil runs the sport injury rehabilitation programs at Connect; he has gathered
invaluable performance experience from his own impressive Triathlon
achievements, representing Great Britain Age Group Teams at European and World
Triathlon Championships. He has carried this same dedication and determination
into his work as a Sport therapist and has worked closely with Stirling University
Triathlon squad, Scottish swimming and a leading strength and conditioning coach.
He has experienced using novel approaches to sport specific training, performance
optimisation, prehabilitation and sport specific rehabilitation and facilitates this
knowledge and experience into his own practice working with Total Racing
Triathlon, Development Squad athletes and recreational athletes.
