This terminology is comparatively very new to India, though Indians have been
arranging for wedding ceremonies, naming & threading ceremonies even much
before Independence.
Event Management a concept which gained importance in India only after the
late 90’s.
Commitment, Leadership, Mental and Physical devotion are the core factors
needed to manage any type of event.
Due to improper forecasting, improper material handling they used to end up in
problems like wastage of food, fire in the pendal or food poisoning. These
problems many a times used to put the families into financial trouble after the
wedding.

After understanding the stages in managing the event, the next task was to how the
event is controlled.

9. Week 3 (09th August to 16th August):
After going through the process of planning and controlling the events in first few weeks,
the next step was to learn how the staging of the event is done.

On the eve of Event day, the manpower is distributed into teams. The teams include:

10. Week 4 (17th August to 22nd August):
1. follow-up with the client’s to know their opinion on the event undertaken.
2. According to the client’s response we had to report it to the firm.
3. After the visit to the client’s place, complete report of the event has to be
presented to the firm.
4. No work is specifically assigned to an individual. All the work assigned on the
specific day must be completed.
11. LEARNING OUTCOME
It is a fact that , marketing is a vast and challenging subject where we had to learn a
number of theories and concepts to a great extent throughout our bachelor’s
degree, but very few of them has practical applications in different business sectors.
For a business student, it is very essential to gather the practical knowledge of
marketing along with the theories that are taught in class.
Here are the few key points which I can list out in my learning outcome:
1. Got opportunity to work in office space.
2. Learnt how to interact with client’s in a professional manner.
3. Making new connections.
4. Professional communication is one of the skill gained.
5. Being responsible.
6. Got to know the difference in theoretical learning and practical experience.
12. FUTURE PROPOSED PLANS
One month internship experience has taught me a lot which I can remember for
long time.
I feel very enriched and excited after working as an employee in an event
management firm.
Planning to take up additional certification courses related to the stream I wish
to work for i.e Marketing and HR.
Improving myself into a better professional environment and also inculcating a
better professional mannerisms.
Company is very much interested in hiring talented professionals who are keen
on learning and are enthusiastic.
In future if given opportunity would like to work with them.
13. CONCLUSION
The internship carried out in NK Events was successful in learning many new
interesting things.
It helped to familiarize with different departments who work for on making an
event successful and their function and activities.
The study helped to understand how the key business processes are carried out
in event management sector & The company is always focusing on the quality
events.
The company is constantly exploring new and exciting ways of organising events
for its client’s through continuous research and development.
The working experience in NK Events was extremely unmatchable and it can
kept for long days of time.
