What is an Event?
 An Event can be described as a public assembly for the
purpose of celebration, education, marketing, reunion.
 Event Can be classified on the basis of their size, type
and context.
 Corporate Events
 Educational and Career Events
 Social Events
What is Event Management?
 Event Management is the process of analyzing,
planning, marketing, producing and evaluating an
event.
Marketing Research & Analysis in
Event Management
 Market Research:
 Before organizing an event, we have to find out
whether there is a market for our intended event or
not.
 Market Analysis:
 If there is market for our intended event, then we have
to go forward to do the market analysis.
Concept of 5 W’s in event management
 Why : Why we want to organize event i.e. event objective.
 What: What means what we are going to do in the event such as
 Event Name
 Food Menu
 Guests Profile
 Type Of Entry
 Promotional Campaign
 Program Menu
 Event Budget
 When: ‘When’ timing of event is very important.
 Where: ‘Where’ means venue of event. Venue should be at a good place
or area.
 Who: One of the important thing is that who is going to organize the
event.
Event venue Selection
 It is very important that where would be venue of
event. It depends upon following:
 Location of venue
 It should be perfect for our event
 Area of venue should be perfect
 It should be suitable to adjust the guests
Conclusion
 After the event is complete, we can ask some of our
guests if they enjoyed the event or not.
 If not then, can ask them to specify the reason so that
from next time, that mistake doesn’t repeat again.
 If we follow these steps mentioned on all the above
slides, before we are going to plan or manage an event,
our event will succeed.
 This presentation was made the people aware about all
these steps.
