It is a two way process. It may be

6. Nonverbal communication
is the process of communication without words. It
communicates through appearance, posture, facial
expressions, gestures, eye behaviour etc. It is
estimated that 85% of our information comes
through nonverbal communication.

8. Sender/Source:
Sender is the starting
point of communication. The sender has an
idea, information/knowledge, he wants to share
it with others. The sender may be a writer or a
speaker.
Encoding:
Encoding means putting ideas into
a message. In the process of encoding an idea
may take the form of word, facial expression,
gesture etc.

9. Medium/Channel:
To send our
message we select a channel it is also
known as a medium. The choice of
channel depends on our Message,
Distance. Receiver, Resources, Safety
etc.
Receiver/Decoder:
The receiver gets
the massage. He may be a read or listener.
The receiver holds a key place in the
process of communication.

10. Decoding:
Decoding means taking ideas
out of the massage. When the receiver
decode our massage, he understand it. If
the Message is easy, the receiver
understand it quickly.
Feedback:
Feedback is
our receiver's response. it is
a final link in the
communication chain. After
getting the message, our
receiver responds in some
way.

11. Information Richness & Media Selection
Feedback:
Does the medium allow for two way communication & contain the
ability and speed necessary to provide the require feedback.
Channel:
Does the medium allow for multiple cues ranging from combined
visual & audio.
Type of Communication:
Does the medium allow for emotional/ personal connections it is
personal/impersonal.
