Prerequisite of the course (subject):
1) To create awareness and impart basic knowledge about the energy science and its application in
Engineering.
1) Introduction to energy systems and renewable energy resources, with a scientific examination of the
energy field and an emphasis on alternative energy sources and their technology and application.
Course Outcomes (CO’s): After completing this course, the student will be able to:
.CO1: explain the main sources of energy and their primary applications nationally and internationally
CO2: Have basic understanding of the energy sources and scientific concepts/principles behind them
CO3: Understand effect of using these sources on the environment and climate
CO4: Describe the challenges and problems associated with the use of various energy sources, including
fossil fuels, with regard to future supply and the impact on the environment.
CO5: List and describe the primary renewable energy resources and technologies.
