- In Vedic astrology the Planetary dispositor is also known as the Poshaka, meaning the "Nourisher", because it tends to aid the occupant of its sign or house.
- Dispositor is the planet who is the lord of the sign. For instance, if Mars is in Cancer, Cancer is owned by the Moon and hence Moon becomes the dispositor of Mars.
- The dispositor governs the planet that happens to occupy its sign.
- The dispositors give results of the planets which occupy their signs or navamsas. Hence dispositors are of two types: a) rasi dispositors b) navamsa dispositors.

DISPOSITORS OF RASI & NAVAMSA
- In Vedic astrology the Planetary dispositor is also known as the
Poshaka, meaning the "Nourisher", because it tends to aid the occupant
of its sign or house.
- Dispositor is the planet who is the lord of the sign. For instance, if Mars is in
Cancer, Cancer is owned by the Moon and hence Moon becomes the dispositor of
Mars.
- The dispositor governs the planet that happens to occupy its sign.
- The dispositors give results of the planets which occupy their signs or
navamsas. Hence dispositors are of two types: a) rasi dispositors
b) navamsa dispositors.
Results of conjunction of dispositors in transit:
Example: Native born of Cancer ascendant with Venus (27degrees and 30
minutes) in 10th
house (Aries).
- Venus is a benefic in the sign Mesha, on a pushkar navamsa falling in
Sagittarius.
- The sign dispositor of Venus is Aries.
- The navamsa dispositor of Venus is Jupiter.
- Note: whenever Mars and Jupiter become conjunct in transit, they
produce favourable results concening the houses of Venus who is the
lord of 4th
(Sukh) and 11th
(labha) houses from Cancer Ascendant.
- The sign conjunction between Jupiter and Mars takes place once in
24 months.
- This conjunction varies from 1 ½ months to 6 months.
- Good results: Conjunction of Jupiter and Mars in the following signs –
Aries, Cancer, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn and Pisces. In Cancer
and Capricorn one of them is debilitated and one is exalted, but they
also form a neecha bhanga raj yoga.

- Hence the two planets, the sign dispositro and navamsa dispositor,
during their conjunction in transit, can produce either good or bad
results pertaining to the sign(s)/house(s) of the disposited planet.

This case study is of C.S. Patel, who constructed a bungalow in 1970 and
rented it out. The tenant occupied it for 19 years and vacated it on 101th
October 1989. He states that he got possession of his bungalow due to the
following transit conjunction of planets.
1. Mars, the kraka of property is in the 2nd
house (Simha), and the sign
dispositor of Mars is the Sun.
2. In the navamsa, Mars is in Gemini, amd the navamsa dispositor is
Mercury.
Transits from l6th September 1989 to 17th
October 1989
- The Sun, Mars and Mercury were transiting the sign of Virgo,
coinciding the navamsa ascendant, and a pushkar navamsa.
- On 17th
October 1989, the Moon was in Capricorn, which is trine to
Virgo, in which the conjunction the 3 planets took place. Mercury was
powerful as it was occupying its own sign.
- It was on this day (17th
(October 1989) that the tenant handed over the
possession of the said bungalow to the owner.
He concludes that the conjunction of the following planets in transits will give
the following results :
- Saturn (rasi dispositor) and Mars (navamsa dispositor) of Venus will
give good results concernin the 4th
and 11th
house.
- Saturn (rasi dispositor) and Mercury (navamsa dispositor) of Jupiter
will give favourable results of 6th and 9th
houses.
- Mercury (rasi dispositor) and Mars (navamsa dispositor) of Saturn will
confer unfavourable results of the 7th
& 8th
houses.
- The ascendant rasi and navamsa dispositors, the Moon and Mercury in
transit conjunction will always give some good results every month.
