A pharmacist should never disclose any information which he has acquired during his professional activities to any third party or person unless required by law to do so. He should never betray the confidence which his patrons repose in him or which he has won by virtue of his eminent character and conduct.

Apprentice pharmacist:-

Chief pharmacist should provide uniform practical training to all new pharmacist
4. PHARMACIST IN RELATION TO HIS TRADE
Price of drug:- Pharmacist have good and fair price of drug and can not sell drug on over
price
Purchase of drug:- Pharmacist should be purchase the standard quality medicine and take
original bill from dealer
Hawking of drug:- Pharmacist should be avoid hawking of drug(hawking of drug mean door
to door supply of drug)
Advertising and display:- Advertisements of drugs should not a false claim or which gives
misleading information about the drug should be prohibited
5. PHARMACIST RELATION TO HIS MEDICAL
PROFESSION
Clandestine arrangement:
Pharmacist should never be sign any secret arrangement or contract with physician that is by offering
commission for recommending his medical store
Pharmacist should never be interfere b/w the duty of physicians
Pharmacist should provide only first aid treatment to patient in any emergency condition.
Pharmacist should not dispense the medicine without prescription of physician

6. PHARMACIST IN RELATION TO HIS

7. PHARMACIST OATH
I swear by the Code of Ethics of Pharmacy Council of India in relation to the community and shall act as an
integral part of the health care team.
I shall uphold the laws and standards governing my profession.
I shall strive to perfect and enlarge my knowledge to contribute to the advancement of pharmacy and public
health.
I shall follow the system, which I consider best for pharmaceutical care and counselling of the patient.
I shall endeavor to discover and manufacture drugs if quality to alleviate the sufferings of humanity.
I shall hold in confidence, the knowledge gained about the patients in connection with my professional
practice and never divulge unless compelled to do so by the law.
I shall associate with organizations having their objectives for the betterment of the profession of Pharmacy
and make a contribution to carry out the work of these organizations.
While I continue to keep this oath inviolate, may it be granted to me to enjoy life and practice of pharmacy
respected by all, at all times. Should I trespass and violate the oath, the reverse be my lot.”
