2. My magazine attracts teenage girls who like pop music due to the colours that I have used throughout my
three pieces, front cover, contents page and double page spread. I have used colours such as white, pink,
purple and light blue in order to attract my target audience. The colours that I have used are represented as
girly colours and are very basic colours. The readers of my magazine would like the colours which I have
used. I know this as I carried out research into what colours people would like to see on a pop magazine. The
colours that were said were pinks, whites, purples and black which are all bold and stand out. The colours I
have used are rather similar to those used in Top Of The Pops and We Love Pop. This allows people to know
that it is a pop magazine due to the bold colours that are used. Bold colours are used in association with pop
music.

This link is the video of All About That Base by Meghan Trainor. In this video, there are a lot of colour
associated with her outfit. There are many bright colours used which suggests that pop music is fun and
energetic. A pop magazine should therefore symbolise that.

3. I am comparing

4. I also attracted my audience by the artists that I have used on the front cover of my magazine. The artists I
have used are teenagers and are wearing the latest style of clothing which will appeal to the target
audience. They are clothes that artists today are seen wearing which attracts the readers more as they may
want to get the same style as their favourite artists. I have dressed some of my artists in very basic colours
as I wanted them to look more professional. I was able to edit some of the colours of their clothing using
Photoshop which allowed me to play around with the colours.
Although N-Dubz are not a pop band, they are the only group whom consist of two males and one female. The
clothes that are used are very basic but they stand out. That is the style of clothing that I wanted. The clothing
that I got my band to wear is casual but it is in style right now. There is not a lot of bright colours on their
clothing but they still stand out.
