Defining Myself Essay
Sometimes a person may feel that they have no purpose in life. Finding out who you are just takes the time of sitting down and thinking of the
importance in your life. Who am I? I am Mercedes Kimberly Kingston, and I am a person with different personalities, characteristics, and identities.
The many ways, in which I identify myself, in fact, are the ways that define who I am. My Identity is something only I can fully define. I have a
little brother, which makes me a sister; I have two loving parents, which makes me a daughter; I am in college studying medicine, which makes me a
student; and I have wonderful friends in desperate need of support, which makes me a wonderful best friend. Before anything, I am a big sister to

It is seen as an essential part of learning and using what you learn in class. But when you get loads of class work and have very little time to finish it,
then it becomes an unnecessary burden. Yet, sometimes, for me, it is the fact that I procrastinate that prevents me from completing a task. For
college student, like myself who is working to pay for college, large amounts of class work usually brings lots of stress and fear of not being able
to get good grades in many of my classes. Yet, I have support from my family, friends, and some peers who encourage me to put up a good fight in
reaching my goal. I am a student that has gone through so much to get here, where I am. There were times that I had strong feelings that I would
never be in college, just because of the negative energy I forced upon myself. Since preā€“K, I have had this problem that if I can't do something I just
give up, and stop trying. I still have this problem, but I have learned to get a control on it. The biggest problem was graduating from high school. I never
thought that I would ever graduate. But I knew, as a student, I should at least try and show my teachers that I am putting effort. And now, I'm in
college, studying preā€“med, and hoping to become either a pediatrician, or a NFL Doctor. Growing up as a daughter to a single mom, was, I think, the
best experience ever. I was, and am still, very spoiled. I always had everything that I ever wanted. And

Extended Definition Of Love
Love can be very hurtful, painful, and stressful sometimes and some people really need to know how to handle love. From my opinion love means to
have the most positive feelings for someone. Having feelings for someone is a good thing. People do not understand the full meaning of love. The full
meaning of love is giving your all and putting trust in someone that really love certain people. Some synonyms for love are fondness, tenderness,
warmth, intimacy.
The first synonym is fondness. Fondness means caring or having the feeling for someone who are really attached to somebody. For example some
people have a fondness for their family. Another example is people have a fondness with their dog. So mainly this word can be defined in so many
ways. People also use this word only if they are attached to someone like their best friend or spouse. From...show more content...
Tenderness means being nice to people and having a good heart for people when they are going through something. For example there was a

different signs for tenderness as well but people just use them in a different way.
The third synonym is warmth. Warmth means to be safe around somebody that you trust or feel comfortable with being around. Some people say
they have the warmth with being around certain people. For example she spoke her mind with great warmth. People use warmth in many different
ways. Some people say that they have warmth with their blankets. From my opinion what this word means to me is being touch by somebody like
you can feel their heart. Being able to feel their heart is a good feeling to have. Warmth is a strong word to use for a relationship or especially when
you are trying to get out of

What is Stress? Essay
Stress is something that affects many people each and every day. Life is full of hassles, deadlines, frustrations, and demands. For some people stress
is so common it is a way of life. Stress can be very harmful and or helpful. It could help motivate you to meet a deadline and perform a task under
pressure. Stress can also be very harmful, such as memory problems, moodiness, aches and pains, and eating more or less.
So what is stress? Stress is a normal physical response that happens when you feel threatened or upset. When you feel that you are in danger whether
it is real or imaged. Your body has a response when stress occurs and it is a way of actually protecting you. Many times, stress helps people stay more

Stress has many different symptoms the most often and most common is having a headache. On your body the effects of stress are muscle tension or
pain, chest pain, and fatigue. The effects of stress on your mood is anxiety, restlessness, and lack of motivation or focus. Finally, the effects of stress
on your behavior is overeating or under eating, drug or alcohol abuse, and social withdraw. Since anyone at any age can be stressed there is no
certain population that is effected the most. I would say that teenagers get stressed easily due to school, spots and or jobs. The thing that stresses
most high school student out is picking and choosing what they are going to do after high school and what college they will be going to if any.
People a little bit older after college could be stressed by trying to find a job or trying to find or support a family. Older people could be stressed if they
are running out of money but besides that older people are probably the least stressful people in are population.
Stress is not only affected in the work place and at home, it is also affected during sports. There is a ton of pressure in many high school sports
especially individual sports. Stress is the body's way of

a colorful symphony. The tools for literature includes, but not limited to: diction, tone, figurative language, and more. Words can help the reader
understand the intended purpose of the writer. It can spark an interest within the audience and create an insightful thought. Words can make a

What is Sin? Essay
What is Sin?
Adam and Eve, the two that started it all. These two names will remain as a reminder to us forever because of their actions. Genesis chapter two talks
about how man was made perfect; flawless and in God's favor. These two individuals change how mankind would be from that time on. Sin entered the
world and things began to change.
Before Adam and Eve's decision there was no sin or death, because of their actions we now have to deal with both. This brings up the question of
where original sin came from. We know that God cannot create evil, so it did not come from Him. He gave man free will. From this man went against
God and therefore created sin. Because of this we know have inherited depravity. We can not...show more content...
This definition may sound good, but it has its flaws. The Weslyans define it as a willful transgression of the known will of God. If you enter these two
definitions into a few verses such as 1 Corinthians 15:34 or John 8:11 we find that the Weslyan definition will fit better. If we use toobroad a definition
it can lead to actual sinning. We may not know we are doing it, but we still are.
If we use the Weslyan definition of sin we find that there are four elements that lead to sin a personal voluntary act. The first of these is to use God
as a standard. He is perfect and flawless, as we should strive to be. The second is man as a free personality. God gave us free will to decide our own
actions; He did not just make us drones. The third makes sin a live option. It is something that is always there and we can always choose to do what
God would have us do or go against His will. The fourth is a deed committed. This goes back to the third one. Sin is a willful act against God. We
must choose right or wrong.
We must make our own decision on what we think sin is. We can look at what others say it could be or we can look to the Bible and ask the Lord
what it is. I think it is also different for everyone. There are however some things that are a standard for everyone. These are specifically mentioned
in the Bible. God gave us the Ten Commandments to follow and Jesus gave us two simple rules to follow. If we look at these we can

Essay about Behavior
Behaviorā€“
Behave, it its root form, means to contain or to have. In the reflective sense, it means 'to have bear oneself'. To use the word behave in common
conversation, it is understood as to 'behave well'. As for the phrase 'to behave badly', it is understood immediately.
Behavior is looked at in society as the way a person presents him or herself in a given situation. It is also related to the specialized sense of manners.
Use of the noun to refer to public conduct or, in a moral sense, to a general range of activities is still quite common.
But the term is also used in relation to plants, lower organisms and animals to describe the apparent activity of the whole organism.
One particular meaning followed from the extension of the...show more content...
Different stages of bourgeois society led to different stages of the capitalist mode of economic production. It is often difficult to separate the meaning
of bourgeois from the meaning used to describe historically distinct periods and phrases of social and cultural development. The bourgeois ideology of
settled independent citizens is clearly not the same as the bourgeois ideology of the highly mobile agents of a paraā€“national corporation. There are also
some problems between bourgeois and capitalist, which are often used interchangeably but which are primarily distinguishable as social and economic
terms.
There can be difficulties of usage, associated with some of the most intense controversies of analysis, when the same word is used for the whole
society in which one class is dominate and for a specific class within that whole society.
Bureaucracyā€“
Definitionā€“ the word Bureaucracy originated in English in the middle of the 1900's. The word bureau had its meaning of a writing desk with drawers.
The American use of Bureaucracy has become more common, especially with references to foreign branches. As the word bureaucracy evolved, many
different meanings have been taken to affect.
The increasing scale of commercial organization, with a corresponding increase in government intervention and legal controls, and with the increasing
importance of organized and professional central government, produced the political facts to which the new term pointed.

What is a Friend? Essay
What is a friend? A friend is someone who supports you, sympathizes with you, or patronizes a group. An easily definition of that would be a person
you know, like and trust.
In these tough times we count on friend to help us get through. I like to think of friendship as everlasting, but is friendship truly forever? Can miles
drive you away from friends you made after graduating from places like high school or college? Just imagine walking across the stage and never
seeing the people you graduated with. Well for those instances you can always join networking places like Facebook. Facebook helps you connect
with the people in your life. In those ways you would never be without your friends. On these sites you can write to each other on...show more content...
A friendship can be everlasting depending on the personalities in that relationship. Sometimes personalities can change for the good the bad in
many friendships. You can never change a person through a friendship. Differences can set you apart. The definition of a friend has changed over
the years therefore that could be a contributing factor to why we can count our friend on one hand. Think about it! When separating from friends
for a while physically values and beliefs start to change. Many may argue that is not true, but I will say I have lost many friends do to personality
changes and belief. Some reasons maybe be because everyone in college likes to smoke and drink. I am not a fan of either which I believe is gross
so I drop many friends due to that reason. I have also lost a lot of friends due to the ways they act towards me or others when different people are
around. In the urban world we call that being "fake." Fake is another way of saying you aren't what you claim to be. You don't stay true to yourself
and totally honest. On the other side people can change for the good to help each other in a friendship. Friendships can gain trust through one another
in due to the people you are around. In a relationship trust is being able tell a secret under confidence to other people hoping they wont tell. If you
gain some ones trust when you come to a problem you are likely to come to that person

What Is Religion? Essay
What is religion? Each person's definition of religion is different. Each person's faith is different. This is a question that has been asked for
centuries, and regardless of the answer given there is no right or wrong answer. Religion can be defined as a group of people who have shared
beliefs who feel their life has purpose or meaning. This feeling or belief that their life has meaning can come from outside of themselves, as well as
within. Taking this one step further, these shared beliefs put into action in the form of worship, can be easily identified because they happen regularly.
It can be said the Primal religions were in fact not religions. Some may argue Confucianism is not a religion. Others may say Taoism is not a...show

They are teachings learned by previous generations then passed down, they are not always actions. The fifth feature of religion is grace. Grace is
defined by Smith as "the belief and assurance that reality is on our side and can be counted on." Lastly there is mystery. For this there is no exact
definition, but it is all of what a religion cannot explain, it is all that the human mind cannot grasp, it is the certain "higher power" that religion offers.
Of these six features, there are three that are present in most all religions, they are: authority, tradition, and mystery. Authority, tradition, and mystery
further explore and define religion when looking specifically at Primal Religions, Confucianism, and Taoism. Primal Religions are often mistaken to
be the religion of the primitive man, often thought to be unintelligent. There is a definition of "primal" that is better suited than unintelligent or
primitive. Primal in terms of religion, refers to the lack of exposure to technology, it is not "knowing" the state of consciousness given to many by
the technological environment. Primal religions preceded organized religion as we know it today by thousands of years, in some cases millions, but
are still present in the world today; we now call them tribal religions. Within primal religions there are people who are knowledgeable about life, who
are knowledgeable about

Essay on The Meaning of Life
The Meaning of Life
My few years on this planet have been a bit confusing. I have learned of many aspects of life from which one can draw meaning, if indeed such
meaning can be drawn. I have also learned that there can be no singular meaning of life to stand for us all, or even any one of us. What I have learned
above all is that trying to put words to the meaning of life is a task of absolute absurdity. This is not to be confused with the idea that life has no
meaning, for life certainly has meaning. However, there is no single meaning of life to be defined ā€“ life is different for us all. Therefore, rather than
define life for an entire planet, I shall try to explain what life means as I perceive it, and why it means so....show more content...
Life is a complicated twist of suffering, laughing, and learning all merging to tell a great story ā€“ or great many stories. Based on this view, "it is not the
end goal or outcome of life that gives life meaning but rather the quality of the story, the quality with which one lives out and develops his or her role."
At the time, this event seemed rather insignificant and did not merit remembrance. However, its catastrophic effects on my attitude that evening may
have helped to mold me into the person I have become. I learned that suffering through such an event, as childish as it was, is quite necessary in any
life. Such pains are part of an interminable cycle and only generate balance in one's life (p. 62, 'Life as Suffering'). Despite my horrid time spent that
evening, the laughter brought since the incident is a worthy tradeoff. Laughter is an all too necessary function of life, just as suffering and the wide
range of other emotions. "Some thinkers would emphasize the importance of sophistication in humor, but others would say that laughter itself is what
is important." Whatever the case may be, laughter is an important ingredient in life, and must not be taken for granted nor ignored.
Despite such emotional ties to life, I have also learned that life is not only about emotions. Those emotions are generated from the chain reactions
created endlessly in

What is Good? Essay
What is Good?
Good, a word used by all, but most not truly knowing what the true concept of good actually is. What is good? Good, in my own understanding,
entails an act or statement that is, not only morally and perceptively correct in the eyes of others, but also in one's own eyes. There is a sense of
accomplishment; a sense of achievement felt when something good has been done. This feeling usually does not only pertain to the individual, but also
to those around him who might have benefited in one way or another from his/her good deed or statement. It is important to note that morals only apply
to individual action and consequence. Ethics, however, apply to the actions of two or more people. Ethics are meaningless unless...show more content...
Good can be thought of as situations in which one is found to have more pleasure in his/her life due to the occurrence of that specific event. One
can receive more pleasure in life by getting a new job. A new job would give someone money and the opportunity to do more things that would add
pleasure to their life. An example of this in my life would be a job I just recently got in which I am now making more money than I was at my old
job. With this job, I now have more money to do more things that will help to bring more pleasure in my life. I will never be able to do all things that
I would like to do and this is where Plato's idea of good being unattainable is demonstrated. Something that is unachievable would seem to have
different opinions based on different personal beliefs. There are the ethical and moral stands on each issue and oneself and the people around them
determine this sense of good by acknowledging the ethical and moral standpoints and determining what is more important to them regarding their
decision. If something makes you and the people around you happy, then what happened to cause this occurrence was good. For instance, scoring the
gameā€“winning touchdown in a football game is good because your whole team will be happy about that touchdown and about winning the game.
Another instance of this would be talking to your best friend after he/she just heard some bad news and cheering them up is good.

The ERG theory based on work, but there is slight different. Alderfer has divided his needs to three groups of needs existence needs, relatedness needs

needs for food. Secondly, relatedness needs which is about the individual and the society in which they live. Finally but not least, growth needs include
the human ability and selfā€“realization. However, Alderfer theory has a different aspect with Maslow's. That if a person failed to reach the top of that
needs he have to return again to the basic needs. While Maslow's theory has focused on seeking to achieve human need one at the same time. On the
other hand, ERG believes that human could achieve more than one needs at the same time (Alerfer 1972, cited in Smith and Taylor 2007). Alderfer
theory is in line with the needs of Maslow's theory that the individual

What Makes Art Art?
Art is an object or piece of work that brings one pleasure. Art is also something you see or feel and you cannot even begin to describe the ways you
like it or how it makes you feel. Art is something that portrays beauty and happiness. Art lets you see the world through another person's perspective.
Most art seems to tell a story about where a person has been and the things they have encountered along the way. It lets you connect with the artist and
see things through their eyes. Art is a way of expressing one's self without words. When I think of art, I think of paintings, portraits, sketches, and

The scene has two snowmen at the entrance to the covered bridge. It fills your heart with warmth and holiday spirit just to look at it.
Portraits to me are art in a different sense. Some of my favorite portraits are by Martin Waugh. It is what he calls LiquidSculpture. He uses high speed
photography to capture drops of liquid as the splash into lakes and other bodies of water. To me there is just something so soothing about his work.
It is amazing how a tiny drop of liquid can create such a beautiful work of art. His work impresses me, because I never really thought of liquid as art
before I saw one of his photos.
The formal qualities of art work are somewhat important. I like paintings that flow smoothly with very fine brush strokes. I think some of the most
beautiful art work is produced with a combination of canvas and oil paints. I like portraits that capture images I normally could not see otherwise.
Portraits that capture the colors you can see when light reflects on a ripple of water amaze me. I do not know a great deal about art, but art seems to

Essay on What is a good life?
What is a good life?
In today's world, humans are often misled on what really is a good life. We are constantly shown through the television and magazines that being
rich and famous is the way to go when it comes to a good life, when in truth many of them are miserable by problems that usually wouldn't affect
the common person. In truth there are only a few that are rich and famous and do achieve what can probably considered one of the greatest
achievement's by a man which is having a good life. In my opinion, the decision if someone has a good life or not is up to them and their will to
strive for something better than average during the high school years of their life. The reason I feel like it begins at that age in their life is...show more

I also believe that to some people religion does play a large part of their lives and how they might live it according to how their religion tells them to.
Subjectively, if someone lives by the book or the belief of their religion it will make them happier to know that they accomplished what their "god" has
set for them to do with their life, and ultimately letting them into the "afterlife" (or heaven) of their religion. Besides the factors that a person can
control in their life to make it good, there are also many things in play that one cannot control such as health. Being healthy can be considered one of
the most valuable aspects of a person's life. It can also be one of those aspects that can control the probability if someone getting a job, earning an
adequate income, and a person's range of active activities. According to an OECD study, people with good health have always shown to be happier in
most aspects but have a huge increase in happiness when it comes to marriages and relationships. During the duration of my life I have met many
people that go through or have someone close to them that have had some type serious sickness, and what I have always noticed is that during those
times they look like the most miserable people on the planet. Whenever I try to put myself in their position it's really hard for me to imagine myself

Essay about Love
Love
Love is difficult to define, difficult to measure, and difficult to understand. Love is what great writers write about, great singers sing about, and great
philosophers ponder. Love is a powerful emotion, for which there is no wrong definition, for it suits each and every person differently. Whether love is
between family, friends, or lovers, it is an overwhelming emotion that can be experienced in many different ways.
People experience love for the first time by being part of a family. Family love is demonstrated through lessons of sacrifice, concern and compassion,
from the cradle to the grave. There are many different levels and conditions of family love. It is the love we cherish between our intermediate family
and our...show more content...
A closeā€“knit loving bond between two people can begin with a friendship. Whether it is a friendship between two males, two females, or one male and
one female, these friendships will develop into love. In no way is it a romantic love, but this type of love connects and bonds friends. Friends may
move away or friendships may wane, but the love between the two people burns on forever.
Romantic love is a love that not every person will experience. It is a type of love that is not there at the beginning, but grows within the individual.
When one finally finds the love they have been looking for, one can not imagine life with anybody else. Romantic love is a connection between two
souls that is captured with a feeling that is not only felt within the heart but within their body as well. I have never been in love with a girl; I can
only imagine what it might be like to be in love. Guessing from my sister's relationship with boys, it seems like a big headache instead of a wonderful
feeling.
To simply write a definition of love is complicated because every person has a different perception of love. The only way to capture the true meaning
of love is to experience the feeling and find out for oneself, what love is. In our lives and the lives of others, love is evident. Whether it is between
family, friends, or lovers, love is a precious

Defining Myself Essay

  • 1. Defining Myself Essay Sometimes a person may feel that they have no purpose in life. Finding out who you are just takes the time of sitting down and thinking of the importance in your life. Who am I? I am Mercedes Kimberly Kingston, and I am a person with different personalities, characteristics, and identities. The many ways, in which I identify myself, in fact, are the ways that define who I am. My Identity is something only I can fully define. I have a little brother, which makes me a sister; I have two loving parents, which makes me a daughter; I am in college studying medicine, which makes me a student; and I have wonderful friends in desperate need of support, which makes me a wonderful best friend. Before anything, I am a big sister to ...show more content... It is seen as an essential part of learning and using what you learn in class. But when you get loads of class work and have very little time to finish it, then it becomes an unnecessary burden. Yet, sometimes, for me, it is the fact that I procrastinate that prevents me from completing a task. For college student, like myself who is working to pay for college, large amounts of class work usually brings lots of stress and fear of not being able to get good grades in many of my classes. Yet, I have support from my family, friends, and some peers who encourage me to put up a good fight in reaching my goal. I am a student that has gone through so much to get here, where I am. There were times that I had strong feelings that I would never be in college, just because of the negative energy I forced upon myself. Since preā€“K, I have had this problem that if I can't do something I just give up, and stop trying. I still have this problem, but I have learned to get a control on it. The biggest problem was graduating from high school. I never thought that I would ever graduate. But I knew, as a student, I should at least try and show my teachers that I am putting effort. And now, I'm in college, studying preā€“med, and hoping to become either a pediatrician, or a NFL Doctor. Growing up as a daughter to a single mom, was, I think, the best experience ever. I was, and am still, very spoiled. I always had everything that I ever wanted. And Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Extended Definition Of Love Love can be very hurtful, painful, and stressful sometimes and some people really need to know how to handle love. From my opinion love means to have the most positive feelings for someone. Having feelings for someone is a good thing. People do not understand the full meaning of love. The full meaning of love is giving your all and putting trust in someone that really love certain people. Some synonyms for love are fondness, tenderness, warmth, intimacy. The first synonym is fondness. Fondness means caring or having the feeling for someone who are really attached to somebody. For example some people have a fondness for their family. Another example is people have a fondness with their dog. So mainly this word can be defined in so many ways. People also use this word only if they are attached to someone like their best friend or spouse. From...show more content... Tenderness means being nice to people and having a good heart for people when they are going through something. For example there was a tenderness in the way she looked at him that had amazed him. This word can be used in many different ways. The tenderness comes from your heart which can always show how the way you look at somebody. People has different opinions on how they use the word tenderness. There are many different signs for tenderness as well but people just use them in a different way. The third synonym is warmth. Warmth means to be safe around somebody that you trust or feel comfortable with being around. Some people say they have the warmth with being around certain people. For example she spoke her mind with great warmth. People use warmth in many different ways. Some people say that they have warmth with their blankets. From my opinion what this word means to me is being touch by somebody like you can feel their heart. Being able to feel their heart is a good feeling to have. Warmth is a strong word to use for a relationship or especially when you are trying to get out of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. What is Stress? Essay Stress is something that affects many people each and every day. Life is full of hassles, deadlines, frustrations, and demands. For some people stress is so common it is a way of life. Stress can be very harmful and or helpful. It could help motivate you to meet a deadline and perform a task under pressure. Stress can also be very harmful, such as memory problems, moodiness, aches and pains, and eating more or less. So what is stress? Stress is a normal physical response that happens when you feel threatened or upset. When you feel that you are in danger whether it is real or imaged. Your body has a response when stress occurs and it is a way of actually protecting you. Many times, stress helps people stay more focussed and energetic....show more content... Stress can affect the mind, body, and behavior. These affects could cause your relationships with others can be affected with your girlfriend, parents, or anyone else who is significant in your life. Stress has many different symptoms the most often and most common is having a headache. On your body the effects of stress are muscle tension or pain, chest pain, and fatigue. The effects of stress on your mood is anxiety, restlessness, and lack of motivation or focus. Finally, the effects of stress on your behavior is overeating or under eating, drug or alcohol abuse, and social withdraw. Since anyone at any age can be stressed there is no certain population that is effected the most. I would say that teenagers get stressed easily due to school, spots and or jobs. The thing that stresses most high school student out is picking and choosing what they are going to do after high school and what college they will be going to if any. People a little bit older after college could be stressed by trying to find a job or trying to find or support a family. Older people could be stressed if they are running out of money but besides that older people are probably the least stressful people in are population. Stress is not only affected in the work place and at home, it is also affected during sports. There is a ton of pressure in many high school sports especially individual sports. • 5. What is Sin? Essay What is Sin? Adam and Eve, the two that started it all. These two names will remain as a reminder to us forever because of their actions. Genesis chapter two talks about how man was made perfect; flawless and in God's favor. These two individuals change how mankind would be from that time on. Sin entered the world and things began to change. Before Adam and Eve's decision there was no sin or death, because of their actions we now have to deal with both. This brings up the question of where original sin came from. We know that God cannot create evil, so it did not come from Him. He gave man free will. From this man went against God and therefore created sin. Because of this we know have inherited depravity. We can not...show more content... This definition may sound good, but it has its flaws. The Weslyans define it as a willful transgression of the known will of God. If you enter these two definitions into a few verses such as 1 Corinthians 15:34 or John 8:11 we find that the Weslyan definition will fit better. If we use toobroad a definition it can lead to actual sinning. We may not know we are doing it, but we still are. If we use the Weslyan definition of sin we find that there are four elements that lead to sin a personal voluntary act. The first of these is to use God as a standard. He is perfect and flawless, as we should strive to be. The second is man as a free personality. God gave us free will to decide our own actions; He did not just make us drones. The third makes sin a live option. It is something that is always there and we can always choose to do what God would have us do or go against His will. The fourth is a deed committed. This goes back to the third one. Sin is a willful act against God. We must choose right or wrong. We must make our own decision on what we think sin is. We can look at what others say it could be or we can look to the Bible and ask the Lord what it is. I think it is also different for everyone. There are however some things that are a standard for everyone. These are specifically mentioned in the Bible. God gave us the Ten Commandments to follow and Jesus gave us two simple rules to follow. If we look at these we can Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Essay about Behavior Behaviorā€“ Behave, it its root form, means to contain or to have. In the reflective sense, it means 'to have bear oneself'. To use the word behave in common conversation, it is understood as to 'behave well'. It is often difficult to separate the meaning of bourgeois from the meaning used to describe historically distinct periods and phrases of social and cultural development. The bourgeois ideology of settled independent citizens is clearly not the same as the bourgeois ideology of the highly mobile agents of a paraā€“national corporation. There are also some problems between bourgeois and capitalist, which are often used interchangeably but which are primarily distinguishable as social and economic terms. There can be difficulties of usage, associated with some of the most intense controversies of analysis, when the same word is used for the whole society in which one class is dominate and for a specific class within that whole society. Bureaucracyā€“ Definitionā€“ the word Bureaucracy originated in English in the middle of the 1900's. The word bureau had its meaning of a writing desk with drawers. The American use of Bureaucracy has become more common, especially with references to foreign branches. As the word bureaucracy evolved, many different meanings have been taken to affect. The increasing scale of commercial organization, with a corresponding increase in government intervention and legal controls, and with the increasing importance of organized and professional central government, produced the political facts to which the new term pointed.

  • 8. What is a Friend? Essay What is a friend? A friend is someone who supports you, sympathizes with you, or patronizes a group. An easily definition of that would be a person you know, like and trust. In these tough times we count on friend to help us get through. I like to think of friendship as everlasting, but is friendship truly forever? Can miles drive you away from friends you made after graduating from places like high school or college? Just imagine walking across the stage and never seeing the people you graduated with. Well for those instances you can always join networking places like Facebook. Facebook helps you connect with the people in your life. In those ways you would never be without your friends. On these sites you can write to each other on...show more content... A friendship can be everlasting depending on the personalities in that relationship. Sometimes personalities can change for the good the bad in many friendships. You can never change a person through a friendship. Differences can set you apart. The definition of a friend has changed over the years therefore that could be a contributing factor to why we can count our friend on one hand. Think about it! When separating from friends for a while physically values and beliefs start to change. Many may argue that is not true, but I will say I have lost many friends do to personality changes and belief. Some reasons maybe be because everyone in college likes to smoke and drink. I am not a fan of either which I believe is gross so I drop many friends due to that reason. I have also lost a lot of friends due to the ways they act towards me or others when different people are around. In the urban world we call that being "fake." Fake is another way of saying you aren't what you claim to be. You don't stay true to yourself and totally honest. On the other side people can change for the good to help each other in a friendship. Friendships can gain trust through one another in due to the people you are around. In a relationship trust is being able tell a secret under confidence to other people hoping they wont tell. If you gain some ones trust when you come to a problem you are likely to come to that person Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. What Is Religion? Essay What is religion? Each person's definition of religion is different. Each person's faith is different. This is a question that has been asked for centuries, and regardless of the answer given there is no right or wrong answer. Religion can be defined as a group of people who have shared beliefs who feel their life has purpose or meaning. This feeling or belief that their life has meaning can come from outside of themselves, as well as within. Taking this one step further, these shared beliefs put into action in the form of worship, can be easily identified because they happen regularly. It can be said the Primal religions were in fact not religions. Some may argue Confucianism is not a religion. Others may say Taoism is not a...show more content... They are teachings learned by previous generations then passed down, they are not always actions. The fifth feature of religion is grace. Grace is defined by Smith as "the belief and assurance that reality is on our side and can be counted on." Lastly there is mystery. For this there is no exact definition, but it is all of what a religion cannot explain, it is all that the human mind cannot grasp, it is the certain "higher power" that religion offers. Of these six features, there are three that are present in most all religions, they are: authority, tradition, and mystery. Authority, tradition, and mystery further explore and define religion when looking specifically at Primal Religions, Confucianism, and Taoism. Primal Religions are often mistaken to be the religion of the primitive man, often thought to be unintelligent. There is a definition of "primal" that is better suited than unintelligent or primitive. Primal in terms of religion, refers to the lack of exposure to technology, it is not "knowing" the state of consciousness given to many by the technological environment. Primal religions preceded organized religion as we know it today by thousands of years, in some cases millions, but are still present in the world today; we now call them tribal religions. Within primal religions there are people who are knowledgeable about life, who are knowledgeable about Defining Religionā€“4 traditions, and who are Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. Essay on The Meaning of Life The Meaning of Life My few years on this planet have been a bit confusing. I have learned of many aspects of life from which one can draw meaning, if indeed such meaning can be drawn. I have also learned that there can be no singular meaning of life to stand for us all, or even any one of us. What I have learned above all is that trying to put words to the meaning of life is a task of absolute absurdity. This is not to be confused with the idea that life has no meaning, for life certainly has meaning. However, there is no single meaning of life to be defined ā€“ life is different for us all. Therefore, rather than define life for an entire planet, I shall try to explain what life means as I perceive it, and why it means so....show more content... Life is a complicated twist of suffering, laughing, and learning all merging to tell a great story ā€“ or great many stories. Based on this view, "it is not the end goal or outcome of life that gives life meaning but rather the quality of the story, the quality with which one lives out and develops his or her role." At the time, this event seemed rather insignificant and did not merit remembrance. However, its catastrophic effects on my attitude that evening may have helped to mold me into the person I have become. I learned that suffering through such an event, as childish as it was, is quite necessary in any life. Such pains are part of an interminable cycle and only generate balance in one's life (p. 62, 'Life as Suffering'). Despite my horrid time spent that evening, the laughter brought since the incident is a worthy tradeoff. Laughter is an all too necessary function of life, just as suffering and the wide range of other emotions. "Some thinkers would emphasize the importance of sophistication in humor, but others would say that laughter itself is what is important." Whatever the case may be, laughter is an important ingredient in life, and must not be taken for granted nor ignored. Despite such emotional ties to life, I have also learned that life is not only about emotions. Those emotions are generated from the chain reactions created endlessly in Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. What is Good? Essay What is Good? Good, a word used by all, but most not truly knowing what the true concept of good actually is. What is good? Good, in my own understanding, entails an act or statement that is, not only morally and perceptively correct in the eyes of others, but also in one's own eyes. There is a sense of accomplishment; a sense of achievement felt when something good has been done. This feeling usually does not only pertain to the individual, but also to those around him who might have benefited in one way or another from his/her good deed or statement. It is important to note that morals only apply to individual action and consequence. Ethics, however, apply to the actions of two or more people. Ethics are meaningless unless...show more content... Good can be thought of as situations in which one is found to have more pleasure in his/her life due to the occurrence of that specific event. One can receive more pleasure in life by getting a new job. A new job would give someone money and the opportunity to do more things that would add pleasure to their life. An example of this in my life would be a job I just recently got in which I am now making more money than I was at my old job. With this job, I now have more money to do more things that will help to bring more pleasure in my life. I will never be able to do all things that I would like to do and this is where Plato's idea of good being unattainable is demonstrated. Something that is unachievable would seem to have different opinions based on different personal beliefs. There are the ethical and moral stands on each issue and oneself and the people around them determine this sense of good by acknowledging the ethical and moral standpoints and determining what is more important to them regarding their decision. If something makes you and the people around you happy, then what happened to cause this occurrence was good. For instance, scoring the gameā€“winning touchdown in a football game is good because your whole team will be happy about that touchdown and about winning the game. Another instance of this would be talking to your best friend after he/she just heard some bad news and cheering them up is good. Get more content on HelpWriting.net

The ERG theory based on work, but there is slight different. Alderfer has divided his needs to three groups of needs existence needs, relatedness needs and growth needs. The definition of needs Alderfer firstly, existence needs one of the necessary needs that are physiological and security needs such as, needs for food. Secondly, relatedness needs which is about the individual and the society in which they live. Finally but not least, growth needs include the human ability and selfā€“realization. However, Alderfer theory has a different aspect with Maslow's. That if a person failed to reach the top of that needs he have to return again to the basic needs. While Maslow's theory has focused on seeking to achieve human need one at the same time. On the other hand, ERG believes that human could achieve more than one needs at the same time (Alerfer 1972, cited in Smith and Taylor 2007). Art is also something you see or feel and you cannot even begin to describe the ways you like it or how it makes you feel. Art is something that portrays beauty and happiness. Art lets you see the world through another person's perspective. Most art seems to tell a story about where a person has been and the things they have encountered along the way. It is what he calls LiquidSculpture. He uses high speed photography to capture drops of liquid as the splash into lakes and other bodies of water. To me there is just something so soothing about his work. It is amazing how a tiny drop of liquid can create such a beautiful work of art. His work impresses me, because I never really thought of liquid as art before I saw one of his photos. The formal qualities of art work are somewhat important. I like paintings that flow smoothly with very fine brush strokes. I think some of the most beautiful art work is produced with a combination of canvas and oil paints. I like portraits that capture images I normally could not see otherwise. Portraits that capture the colors you can see when light reflects on a ripple of water amaze me. • 14. Essay on What is a good life? What is a good life? In today's world, humans are often misled on what really is a good life. We are constantly shown through the television and magazines that being rich and famous is the way to go when it comes to a good life, when in truth many of them are miserable by problems that usually wouldn't affect the common person. In truth there are only a few that are rich and famous and do achieve what can probably considered one of the greatest achievement's by a man which is having a good life. In my opinion, the decision if someone has a good life or not is up to them and their will to strive for something better than average during the high school years of their life. The reason I feel like it begins at that age in their life is...show more content... I also believe that to some people religion does play a large part of their lives and how they might live it according to how their religion tells them to. Subjectively, if someone lives by the book or the belief of their religion it will make them happier to know that they accomplished what their "god" has set for them to do with their life, and ultimately letting them into the "afterlife" (or heaven) of their religion. Besides the factors that a person can control in their life to make it good, there are also many things in play that one cannot control such as health. Being healthy can be considered one of the most valuable aspects of a person's life. It can also be one of those aspects that can control the probability if someone getting a job, earning an adequate income, and a person's range of active activities. According to an OECD study, people with good health have always shown to be happier in most aspects but have a huge increase in happiness when it comes to marriages and relationships. During the duration of my life I have met many people that go through or have someone close to them that have had some type serious sickness, and what I have always noticed is that during those times they look like the most miserable people on the planet. Whenever I try to put myself in their position it's really hard for me to imagine myself being in Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Love is what great writers write about, great singers sing about, and great philosophers ponder. Love is a powerful emotion, for which there is no wrong definition, for it suits each and every person differently. Whether love is between family, friends, or lovers, it is an overwhelming emotion that can be experienced in many different ways. People experience love for the first time by being part of a family. Family love is demonstrated through lessons of sacrifice, concern and compassion, from the cradle to the grave. There are many different levels and conditions of family love. It is the love we cherish between our intermediate family and our...show more content... A closeā€“knit loving bond between two people can begin with a friendship. Whether it is a friendship between two males, two females, or one male and one female, these friendships will develop into love. In no way is it a romantic love, but this type of love connects and bonds friends. Friends may move away or friendships may wane, but the love between the two people burns on forever. Romantic love is a love that not every person will experience. It is a type of love that is not there at the beginning, but grows within the individual. When one finally finds the love they have been looking for, one can not imagine life with anybody else. Romantic love is a connection between two souls that is captured with a feeling that is not only felt within the heart but within their body as well. I have never been in love with a girl; I can only imagine what it might be like to be in love. Guessing from my sister's relationship with boys, it seems like a big headache instead of a wonderful feeling. To simply write a definition of love is complicated because every person has a different perception of love. The only way to capture the true meaning of love is to experience the feeling and find out for oneself, what love is. In our lives and the lives of others, love is evident. Whether it is between family, friends, or lovers, love is a precious Get more content on HelpWriting.net
