Responsible for Document Control on thirty Security Enhancement Projects across the business,
ensuring all design deliverables referenced in the Solution Scope book are tracked and registered.
• Administered companies preferred document management system (Business Collaborator) for
SE Projects and provide technical support, ensuring the documents are correctly referenced.
• Document controller for company managing all documents issued by contractor and ensuring
the relevant team members are issued the documents for Review or Comment.
• Providing regular reports to the Design Managers & Engineers in relation to the status of the
deliverables.
• Managing the KPI reporting data for the SE Framework Office

Designers for both UU and Contractor

Providing day to day full technical support to end users on Business Collaborator – Document Control
System, supporting the Preston 7 Project.
• Ensuring the corporate Document Management Control System accurately reflects the current
position of each project by reporting, measuring and controlling the data held within the
application.
• Responsible for ensuring the end users, internally and externally are able to upload, download
and issue documents. Provide classroom training to new and existing users.

• Gather and present audit findings for each project held within the Document Management
Control System to key stakeholders in a positive, constructive and logical way. Explain how
the audit was undertaken, clearly setting out the results obtained and identify good practice and
advice on areas for improvement when required.
• Tracking Contractual correspondence on behalf of the Preston 7 team and ensuring responses
are sent within the agreed Contractual deadline. Ensuring all project documents are available
for audit purposes.

Project Assistant providing support to the Senior Project Manager and the Project Team located at
Newton Lane.
• Gained invaluable knowledge and experience on how a pipeline is constructed by arranging site
visits to various locations along the route.
• Document Controller issuing documents via Business Collaborator to the Principal Contractor
to ensure all legally required documents and those relating to the commercial management of
the project are stored centrally. Control of document versions including S159 working width
drawings, S159 notice plans indicating access for tree and hedge removal, S168 notice
drawings and design drawings. Acting as Champion for the team; carrying out audits on team
members to ensure they are using BC accordingly and providing training where required.
• Record and investigate customer enquiries and DG7 written complaint correspondence
received relating to the project achieving over 90 percent within the agreed SLA of 10 working
days. Liaising with Project Co-ordinators from both UU and J.Murphy & Sons Ltd to enable a
full investigation to take place.
• Providing historical information about correspondence received to the Access & Acquisitions
Team for any potential claims.
• Liaising with our independent surveyors M Poolers & Associates to carry out surveys on
customers properties in relation to potential compensation Claims.
• Use of SAP, for Procurement, CATS Timesheet. Use of purchase card for items and services
required. Monthly checks on Dcal, the purchasing card system to ensure transactions submitted
by the suppliers are correct.
• Arranging and booking One 2 One’s for LDTM (Large Diameter Trunk Mains) Team on behalf
of the Project Delivery Manager. Arranging and booking conference rooms for the Steering
Group Meetings, sending agenda and relevant details required by the delegates.

United Utilities North West - Central Services (Prescot WTW)
Providing support both to the Prescot Water Treatment Manager and the Liverpool Network Manager
and their teams, to improve productivity and a high standard of performance within the teams located
on various sites within the Central Area.
3. • Liaised with the Network Controllers and Customer Liaison Officers and completed over 90%
of the outstanding DR1 (damage report) forms on their behalf using Work Management &
Customer Contact which enabled £15k to be credited back into the Liverpool Network
Managers budget.
• Ensuring the Training and Health & Safety records were up to date for the Process Controllers,
Network Owners and Customer Liaison Officers, and issuing of PPE to individuals on various
sites across the Central Area.
• Meeting the submission deadlines for the Health & Safety reports for the Water Treatment
Manager’s area. Participation in the Health & Safety Audits for Prescot WTW.
• While based at Prescot WTW, I was able to have an overview of the works, order certain
chemicals i.e. polyelectrolytes.
• Prioritised work, by ensuring the Availability for the Customer Liaison Officers & Network
Controllers was updated. Informing the CW Schedulers by the weekly deadline, to ensure
Work management was updated, which has now been superseded by WFM.
• Updating the Capex returns spreadsheet before month end to enable the Network Manager
to process his accruals.
• Acting duty of a Customer Enquiry Analyst, for John Mitchell recording and investigating
DG7 letters received on various incidents i.e. no supply, poor pressure and responding
within the agreed SLA deadline. Using Work Management, Customer Contact and
Respond. Use of Mapinfo to determine location of valves on the network used for shut
off’s, events, DG3 planned and unplanned disruptions to supply.
• Attending leakage meetings for the Liverpool area to develop my knowledge further of the
network.
