Responsible and accountable for the whole transport operation delivering circa 300 loads per day to main line
stores and convenience stores

Fleet size responsibility and accountability of 90 Units, 160 Trailers and 31 rigids
Lead the department management structure of 4 Shift Managers, 16 Team Managers, 4 Driver trainers and

Achievements
Budget control – Full responsibility and accountability for department managing a £20 Million budget.
Successful year on year budget savings of £930K from 12/13, £700K 13/14 and £91K to flex 14/15.

Continual year on year improvements of key transport KPI’s, Trailer fill, cases per cage, KMDH, KM per 1,000
and DWR.
Customer focused driven manager on service. Current service performance to stores of 99.6% on time
deliveries.
Successful implementation and vehicle costs improvement through the on-site 3PL VMU with Sapphire Fleet
Services.
Site managed improvement projects driving cost saving efficiencies including the introductions of double
decker into the Sainsbury’s fleet.
Lead performance management and weekly senior team meetings. Management of personal reviews and fully
focused and driven by colleague engagement.
Successfully lead the depots “Talkback” survey 14/15 which improved colleague engagement index by 3 points
